#18620 The title says it all. The 1st OVA had the opening that everyone knows, complete with a set array of Japanese instruments and contemporary instruments in the mix. The opening was an instrumental that drew many of the viewers in, being one of the most, if not the most, recognizable soundtrack from the Tenchi Muyo franchise. However this is a fun challenge I have.

Try to come up with lyrics to the Opening, and post your ideas/lyrics here! Hope to see how funny/awesome this will be! [nagi3]

#21244 Hmmm, a way to resurrect this thread.

"To the skies, we fly, and reach to the stars."
"Universe, deep space, we venture as one."
"You and me."
"Here, amidst where we stand. I will op-en myself to you"
"Trial and tribulations, I clench my weary hand"
"Through all of this we have come through"
"An extraterrestrial romance."
"If only to see what we can do"
"Power like the lighthawk's might oh yeah oh yeah"
"Near and far, beyond the stars, we will save the day"
"Blackest depths, heavens above. We fight and we love"
(whisper at the outro) Tenchi Muyo.

ehhh not the best but it was all I could come up with while it was fresh on my mind again. xD blush1

#21511 Okay, now... the first thing I want to get in mind would be themes. What are the themes of Tenchi Muyo? What story elements are prevalent in that story?
What do you guys say?

#21512 Space adventure with a harem icing pretty much sums up OVA 1. ^^

#21513 [scribbling away at the lyric]

Don't you mean a (the?) harem anime with an icing of space adventure?

#21514 Ehh, that's subjective in that regard. A "To each their own" notion. Considering the first OVA was a more space-centric story with the subplot of who he would pick. The second OVA was technically a different series.

Again, up to you how to look at it, man. I still await to see what you concoct.
