:Sauce:Discotek Media announced on Friday that it has licensed Crusher Joe: The Movie and Crusher Joe: The OVA’s. The company plans to release the film in early 2017 on DVD. The company said it also plans to release the film on Blu-ray Disc “at some point in the future.” Discotek Media didn’t provide any information on the release of the OVA series, but said it would be a separate release from the film.
Both anime adapt Haruka Takachiho and Fujihiko Hosono’s manga. AnimEigo previously released both anime on DVD in 2003, and it describes the story:
Quote:The galaxy is a strange and dangerous place, and there are times when even the United Space Force can’t help. That’s where the Crushers come in – skilled troubleshooters who will deal with any problem, large or small, for a fee (large only!) And there is no better Crusher than Crusher Joe!
