a thought a occured ep 6 of tenchi ova 1 came out 1994, end of evangelion came out in 1997 [ this part in the kagato fight, stop at 1:43 ] reminds me of eva or did eva copy tenchi?
i also see resemblance when i look at these two pics side by side: 1 and 2
The True Tenchi Muyo Jurai Novel came out in 1997
August, specifically. EoE came out a month before, in July, but was in the planning stages since early ’96 when the TV series finished. It’s too close, I think it’s’ just a coincidence unless Kajishima was EoE and immediately ran to the office to draw that cover.
It is a bit of my theory that Tenchi was in a way influencing or at least just a little, and Kajishima also tried to put some Eva into his works
Kajishima’s inspiration of Eva is seeable in a lot of his material, really not just Dual. Like how ova3 ends, thats some big EoE stuff
