Here’s a little thread to share some ideas about the generation after Tenchi and the girls. Feel free to share any ideas or story concepts post them here ^.^. One of my ideas was to bring in Tenchi’s son and daughter; the daughter being Ryoko’s and the son being Ayeka’s, and bring upon any other characters that may exist. The plot I had in mind was one where one of the kids went missing(the son) and the daughter has to go find him. She finds him only to find out that he has turned sides and is trying to carry on an older evil science although it has been all but eradicated completely. I had ideas for cameos for the story but it’s still a plan in progress.
Anyway, feel free to share your story ideas and such on this thread and see what ideas all the fans have in mind

That’s an interesting idea, and I’d like to see how it becomes implemented. Do you have any ideas on the personalities of either character, or their relationship to one another?

Since you asked, here is my general scheme for a progression into a second generation of
Tenchi. tells of the main cast maturing and coming to terms with who they are and where they stand afterHomecomingsDark Energy Trilogy. In some cases, like Tenchi and Ryoko’s, they start a family. Naturally, the children are infants and toddlers in Homecomingsand serve mainly to show how their parents have grown and matured. However, I have stories planned that would transition from the main cast and then focus on this second generation, having the previous generation coming into the mentor role, as well as learning to let their children be themselves. The first such story is entitled
Demon’s Birth. Set roughly five years after Homecomings, this story depicts a foe wanting not only to cripple or wound Jurai, but also to hurt the Masaki family in particular. The themes are meant to be similar to Manatsu no Eve( Daughter of Darkness), where genetic cloning processes were used, as well as children pit against their parents. I wrote a teaser segment in June 2004, which is in the titular link above, but be aware that it has some spoilers for Homecomings. Moreover, many of my ideas have changed over the years, so there is no promise that the segment will remain unchanged when I actually start writing the story proper. http://evilpii.50webs.com/forum/tu-mitsuki2.png" /> Following
Demon’s Birth, I had planned another series of stories entitled The Second Ryo-Jurai War, set another ten years later. Here, the second generation cast would be in their mid-teens and starting to learn their place in the world, when the long-awaited conflict between Ryua and Jurai finally breaks into a blitzkrieg. At the beginning, the children would be dependent on their parents’ experience, but as the series progressed, they would become more independent, developing their own styles and roles. The seeds of this story are planted throughout Trilogyand Homecomings, but actually writing this will be some time off. I hope it will be worth the wait. In the meantime, I have written a short piece entitled
, set a year or so before“Escalation”The Second Ryo-Jurai War. This vignette depicts Tenchi and Ryoko’s son sparring with a childhood friend, Angelica Pii. I will let you discover who she is. [nagi1] The piece was meant to showcase some action since I had been writing a lot more drama in Homecomingsat the time, as well as characters I have not had much chance to use. Naturally, it also describes the abilities each of them would have at this point in their young lives. As to the characters themselves, I can give a quick rundown of them as they stand in my writing notes.
Masaki Masato, Tenchi and Ryoko’s firstborn son
Masaki Minagi, Tenchi and Ryoko’s daughter, based upon the manga character by the same name- Jurai Achi, Ayeka’s daughter, twin sister to Jurai Ken
- Jurai Ken, Ayeka’s son, twin brother to Jurai Achi
- Juraiko Sasami, Nagi’s elder daughter
- Juraiko Aina, Nagi’s younger daughter
- Makibi Kigero, Kiyone’s daughter
- Juraiko Ayami, descendant of Azaka
- Juryu Seiten, nephew of Tessei
Naturally, while I did role-play some of these characters in my IRC days, several of these characters are still under development, much of which will be in eitherHomecomings, Demon’s Birth, or the beginning of The Second Ryo-Jurai War. If you are wondering at who the fathers for some of these characters might be, I will leave that to the stories to explain. [nagi3] Also, I would like to give a word of thanks to all the “old-guard”
Tenchifans. Many of my conversations and role-plays with them helped conceive and develop the ideas both in my fiction and for these characters. Thanks, guys. -

Well, I certainly can’t compete with pii’s oeuvre (of course we’re not competing) as I have just recently gotten around to putting into words some loose ideas I’ve had for various accessory arcs, characters and general shenanigans to accompany the Universe canon (since it seems to have more wiggle room for such fan-induced speculation). http://tenchiforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=890 ” class=”bbcode_url”> http://tenchiforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=890 Here’s the one and only place I’ve posted this (right here on the forum!). It involves two characters of my own named Kenchi and Rai. I’ll let the story itself allude at their identity (shouldn’t be hard to figure out).
p.s. if anyone wants to use these fellas, their names and/or their general identity in relation to the main cast, go right ahead, not like I “own” anything Tenchi-related, and I think the more people jump in on something, the more fun it is.

I must admit, as well as Who, that my story idea didn’t go as extensive as the Homecomings story. From reading the Escalation, I can also see that in the coming future, Ryoko/Tenchi’s son will have an interesting counterpart in his part to play for your story to come ^^ I will read deep into what you’ve written Pii to see how it all plays out. Also, be sure to read into my OVA 4 as my 2nd generation story will come afterward.
As for any new ideas of mine, Tenchi will have a daughter with Ryoko named Achika(as I think I’ve mentioned before) and a son with Ayeka that i still have to come up with a name(since he is the antagonist later on, i want to make it to where he has a known antagonist name) Yakage, Hishima? Perhaps a manga name coming from the name of the shadow blade “Kageba” (unless i decide to put that as a tool my OVA 4 villain wants to gain full power as well as restore his world ^^) Anyway with a start I had planned on the two children being very young; around five or six when the story begins. I had planned on them being trained in combat throughout the years, but each one takes on a different fighting style than the other. The daughter has a fighting style that is a much more robust and feral while the son has a classic swordsman style(with the exception of using shields and juraian blasts.) They each balance each other out in skill.
Fast-forward about a year after WoG and they are around 15 or 16 at this point. There has been some conflict around the Juraian territory between a few planets and the two children are at this point wanting to head out on a mission to see what they can do(trying to follow in their father’s footsteps). After heated argument the two are allowed to go only because Tenchi, Ryoko, and Ayeka will accompany. During this, a cataclysm happens during the battle; a dimensional shift. Tenchi as well as the two kids’ mothers vanish, and the brother and sister are divided.
I havent had a lot of thought into figuring up a scheme, but in investigation done by Achika, she finds out that the dimension they are in, is one that happened if the two had been captured before the big Empirical civil war. She comes to find out that the son, in fact, in all his small arguments as well as some corruption done by a villain, has sought out to do a deed that an old foe from the long gone past, originally planned. To merge his energy with the goddesses. Although I think it should be an ultimate scheme to get the overall antagonist his own power, and the son being merely a high quality pawn, the siblings will fight as they encounter each other. I plan on maybe having cameos come in but I’m not entirely sure.
Anyway thats the rough idea i had for a story for now, at least until i can finish my OVA 4 and branch into this and make it mesh together and work. ^^

When you say “feral”, what are you meaning?
I imagine Evangelion Unit-01 and Kenshi’s Seikijin would quality as “feral” or “berserk” in style. Is this what you mean? When applied to a human, the term usually means that the person has reverted to some sort of animalistic or primal behavior.Alternatively, you could have the daughter specialize in empty-handed combat, rather than with a weapon like her brother. That could be more dynamic by using the natural weapons of her hands, feet, and joints, perhaps intensified by her own power focused into a bladed aura.
Where have I seen that before?http://evilpii.50webs.com/forum/sagami1.png" /> shadowsfall0 wrote:Fast-forward about a year after WoG and they are around 15 or 16 at this point. This could go well if you pepper clues throughout the work pointing to outside influence. After all, if the brother is portrayed entirely as a villain, the reader will likely only associate him as that archetype. You might need to show him to be sympathetic in some way. I reference Anakin Skywalker in
Revenge of the Sith. I believe he was intended to be sympathetic, confused and twisted by Palpatine, but Anakin comes off fairly weak and unrepentant, at least to me. Now, if you want a character who gets the gold as the twisted beloved brother, look to
. Over the course of 49 episodes, you see him war with his brother, hot-blooded hate. And then, you realize the truth. :dexter:Aiba Shinya fromTekkaman Blade -

So, now it’s official on the second generation story of the characters and their personality types. I even have character arc and stuff set up to have them go through. And will be lots of tribulations since the series by outlining is estimated to be a 4 short novel series. The Divided Destinies Saga. I won’t give spoilers as to my currently planned OVA 4 ending, however, I will say that these two will be very reminiscent of Ayeka and Ryoko’s feuding nature over the course of the franchise. ^^ Hopefully that will be rather enjoyable.

So, I do have an entire diatribe of notes on the concept of Ayeka, Ryoko, and Tenchi’s daughter. Ryoko and Tenchi’s daughter, whom I’ve dubbed
Achika, would be an interesting notion to delve into. Considering Tenchi and Ryoko’s standing and power and genetic makeup, one could wonder if Achika would have any abnormalities or be anomalous by not having certain passive abilities that her mother or father would have. Perhaps not a regenerative enzyme like her mother, perhaps slower physical aging. She could be essentially a pirate like her mother, albeit being more of a Robin Hood of sorts. Ayeka and Tenchi’s daughter is a much different case. I’ve given her the name
Hinase. This character I would see as more of the internal struggle character. She would have her long diatribes of self dialogue as well as represent the internal struggle along anything that was to happen. Perhaps she would be rebellious to her mother since Ayeka may be more of an overbearing parent, but all the while trying to follow in her footsteps. ‘ I’m going to be making a Wiki on it and link it to my official page, eventually. Also, on this note. There is a reason I’m bringing this up.
For my readers, this will be here soon…
