Very cool, & I think this girl summed it up very well. While I’ve never technically cosplayed myself, I can definitely see the allure of it. It’s fun! Fun to be a character you identify with (if only for a day/weekend) fun to meet/interact with fellow cosplayers/fans of the series. In all honesty, it kind of bothers me if there’s people that think it’s weird or stupid or are bothered by it. To put it simply for these types of people: it’s dressing up in a cool costume for fun, if it’s not for you that’s fine but if you think it’s stupid then you don’t know how to have a good time! But of course, as this video points out, it can be much more than that, & I look forward to experiencing more of it as I (hopefully) attend more cons in the future.
