So being today is my birthday, I got my coworkers to go with me to Dairy Queen to get something frosty.

Pulled into the drive and passer promptly says “look out!” to which a Acura just starts up and immediately goes into

reverse, aiming to T-bone us… which my car has no real side support or side air bags. So I swung the wheel with epic

gamer skills and gunned it a bit and manage to take the hit in the tire and back end.

Tire’s bent at an angle, rear end fishtails all over. Horrible tire squall about 25mph. Steering is out of alignment so to

hold it straight you have to hold the wheel at 3 o’ clock. Doesn’t like turning right. Hitting a bump deeper than a quarter

makes the whole car wobble. There’s some body damage but I think the tire took the brunt of it, considering my car weighs

nearly 5,000 pounds and we moved sideways slightly when hit….

But hey no one died, except for my car.

The girl driving was in a rush to get out of there and didn’t have her boyfriend’s insurance info.

    So…. frak.

How’s your day been? Better I hope?

Wow that’s terrible and on your birthday of all days…still thank goodness you are alright! That could have been a lot worse so even that it’s bad news about your car I’m glad to hear you that you didn’t get hurt!

Definitely glad to hear the only thing harmed in that incident was the car!

Gotta love the gamer skill reactions to be able to avoid the worst at all possible.

yep…good thing no one was hurt.

If this ends up looking like a double post that’s because the computer has been acting weird on this forum for awhile.

Well got a rental in my ongoing saga.

Overworked rental agency guy gave me a 2015 fully loaded Tahoe for half cost so it fit in the insurance company daily limit.

My word… the buttons and knobs… heaven help me if I scratch it.
