Yo-kai Watch is coming.
Dubbed by some as the new Pokemon, the anime about collecting different kinds of ghosts is set to premier in English on October 5th on Disney . It has been quite popular in Japan, but how will it fare here? Here is the English opening, which just translates the original and is fairly catchy.

It’s name is Jibanyan. It became a spirit after being hit by a truck, and aspires to one day beat the truck. Anyway, it is voiced in Japan by Etsuko Kozakura, who voiced a certain other feline/lapine mascot for a franchise (whom pretty much abandoned her)…

(We still love you, Ryo-Ohki)
I don’t think that it’ll reach Pokemon’s popularity here but will likely awaken many new anime fans.
