I for whatever reason, heard Sparking 1000% from the second Negima!? series and felt impressed

that it had a deeper meaning that might apply to the new year, and hope for it.

So I rewrote the lyrics myself.

My heart rings out like a shot, the pain recently has been keeping it from becoming calm.

There are times when I see the next door in my path and I have to make the choice to step through.

Because of the shining thoughts of you, I just can’t stay depressed.

Evermore, sparking up now, our hearts are growing strong!

If we all improve, the world will change dramatically!

Lightening up, let’s raise our souls up high!

Bursting past our limits, let’s keep at it as we aim for 1000%

Even if it’s but a still small light, it’s precious for me to draw closer to you.

The courage hidden deep in my heart, tears shed in darkness.

They clear away the doubt that binds my wings.

If you should ever stop moving forward, I’ll remember your smiling face, and let my heart guide me through.

It’s not enough to be protected! I want to protect things dear to me too!
