If you tried to log on to Animenation’s online store since September 12 you will have noticed instead of connecting to their homepage a note saying that they have closed shop.Since AN has been one of the major online suppliers of
anime,manga and anime related products,I wouldn’t be surprised if not a few of us have used it in the past to order
products.

One classy thing the owners of Animenation did when they decided to close the retail section was to encourage
customers to go over to Rightstuf.A classy move.Especially since they heartedly recommended RSI.
Ironically I only discovered this myself after going over and reading the RACS blog over at Robert’s Anime Corner Store.
As for the details of why they decided to shut the store down,there doesn’t seem much although there must have
been personal reasons for doing so after 20 years.
Though if you had visited Animenation the past 3-4 years you would have noticed their stock was not what it had been in the past,so it would seem that the decision had been years in the making and they only decided to close
up for good the last year or so.
We will miss them.
