I will start off with the two pieces I posted already in the Ryoko fan thread : http://th08.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/i/2011/115/0/4/space_pirates_by_blade_of_the_moon-d3ewun6.jpg " /> http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs23/f/2008/009/4/7/Tenchi_Muyo_Ryoko_Model_by_Blade_of_the_Moon.jpg " /> I honestly have very few color pieces..my work with color is mostly sculpture, so I’m afraid you will have to suffer through a LOT of B%W art…( if anyone wants to color any of it feel free , just credit me please ! ) Secondly Ryoko is by far and away my favorite character..so you won’t see many other characters here. lol
Also you may notice some are better than others..some were done in 2002 and others later on.

These two black and white pieces continue the story of Ryoko and the space pirate werewolf ( he had a name once, but I can’t recall it..let’s call him Crescent. http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/422386_2841786520334_1129456954_3318504_1423683637_n.jpg " /> The captain of one of the vessels they attack activates a self-destruct sequence, the resulting blasts encompasses the ship and an entire asteroid field. Ryoko is caught in the blast and blown toward Crescent who catches her and shields her from the rest of the explosion. His quick healing powers allow him to survive it, but Ryoko is unconscious and bleeding . Believing her to be in mortal danger and having no other choice he does the only thing he can… biting her and giving her the gift he possesses.
That’s about as far as I ever got story-wise..they were supposed to have joined up and fought together many times before all this occurred and stayed together for a long while afterward, becoming lovers even.
Again this was 2002-2003 or so..I’m lucky I recall this much..lol It was long before Twilight so none of that please..
Werewolves were popular for awhile before Jacob removed his shirt.. Just a loose storyline I made up in my head as I drew. Draw what conclusions or add what you will in yours. -

Are any of these recent? I haven’t sketched or drawn anything in a long time, I keep wanting to though.
No, not really…most are a year or more. I did do this one this week :
Space pirate Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo teasing the Killer Klowns from Outer Space !

Here’s one I just finished last night called ” Look what I found ! ” : http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2012/070/2/d/look_what_i_found___by_blade_of_the_moon-d4sdntx.jpg " /> Further adventures in time and space with Ryoko of Tenchi Muyo ! She just can’t to get back to the cave and show everyone what she found !
Artist notes : I figure this scenerio started when Ayeka found something of interest and Tenchi smiled and told her it was neat..feeling slighted, Ryoko had to find something equally interesting. Of course we know how these things back fire for our heroine. Just imagine the rest of the cast looking at this scene as she flies back to them… hehe !
I imagine some running around, hiding in a cave maybe escaping, before Washu realizes the problem and makes her put it back getting mom off their proverbial tails. lol
Of course Ryoko feels terrible about it and probably goes off and brings back an entire brontosaurus for dinner.
..and her outfit ? We all know Ryoko always dresses for every occasion.

^love the dinosuar pic! 😆 I can see Ryoko naively & innocently enough thinking bringing Tenchi a baby dinosaur would be a good idea.Very good work, in particular I think you capture Ryoko’s essence best with her facial features such as her eyes (which I always found as one of her most captivating attributes)

Glad you enjoyed it ! I love combining my interests..yes I’m a huge dino-nut..
😆 Oh yeah..there are so places the story could go and fun scenes in it..maybe they all get a chance to play with it before mom comes looking for her hatchling. You can just imagine what Washu, Sasami , even Ryo-Ohki would do a scene with the little guy.I really appreciate that and really agree. Her eyes are captivating for me. I have done a few pages worth of just eye sketches over the years trying to get them right from one sketch to the other..it doesn’t help there is a difference however slight between series , OVAs, movies..even the manga. I’m trying a piece now with a slightly more realistic feel..that means a bit longer nose, eyes are a little smaller..things like that..I’m adding some actual strands of hair in there to break it up. You will have to let me know when it’s done what you think.

Little Washu wrote:^ Do I smell a fanfic brewing?
😆 If you plan to, it would be cool to have a somewhat illustrated fanfic lol. I don’t look at fanfiction much at all anymore, but that was something I very rarely saw.
lol ..who knows ? I tend to make up whole stories in my head for each piece I do and it kinda fuels my creativity…some elements even make it into the finished piece. Notice the butterfly ? Recall Ray Bradbury’s the Sound of Thunder or in the same chaotic vent Jurassic Park and Malcolm’s description of chaos theory…read what you will into it.

I did one for ya… though I’m not really happy with the dragon at all, think I got Ryoko fairly well done. I’ve got it as a psd if you want to work on shading some.

Hey that’s cool..further than I would have got ! maybe the dragon should be in red with yellow or gold bits ? Here’s a new one I just did yesterday. I was going for a more realistic feel. Did I achieve it ?

Something with the face is off… rest is fine. https://www.sugarsync.com/pf/D6319316_0112846_194551 ~12 MBHere’s the PSD for the file, pretty much every color section is it’s own layer.
The dragon I did in like 5-10 minutes and was going for a quick way to color it, so yeah it shows.
But do what you want with it. GIMP or Paint.net should be able to do something, or Photoshop online.

Thanks ! I will look into it.
Hmm…I shrunk the eyes to a more Tenchi Forever or realistic size..maybe that’s it. I picked a little used OVA outfit as well that seemed appropriate.

^lol no kidding! But regardless of how long they may take you to make, they look amazing! The ‘realistic’ Ryoko looks really good (as do they all) & the hotsprings Ryoko looks spectacular, looks very true to the style of the series (which I prefer, but that’s just me personally) -

I have a confession to make..many of these are older pieces. Though I have done..3 or 4 new ones recently…those have all been posted now..the last was the ” realistic ” piece. I’m really glad you guys are enjoying these..and they aren’t just sitting in my sketch books.
