Here is a thread for anyone who has played through, or played then rage quit, the game that is known as Dark Souls. For me personally, I found it rather difficult but I adapted pretty quickly, which many others I know who have played it don’t have a similar experience to mine 😆 "For the curse of life is the curse of want. And so, you peer... Into the fog, in hope of answers."

Difficulty of the game is set to Maximum High. I like watching people play this game, they’re so skilled.
I only played through the first phase of Demon Souls.
It may be beyond my skill level, as I tend to freak out under pressure.
It’s definitely a fantastic game. I already have Dark Souls 2 preordered for my boyfriend. Can’t wait to watch him play.
Lots of Dark Souls twitch feeds out there.

I also have Dark Souls part 2 preordered, myself. From what I’ve seen, I believe we are in for even more of a challenge than the first one. They amped up the difficulty as far as I’ve seen and read. o_o

I have to wait a few extra months before I can play Dark Souls 2 after launch, thanks to the several month long delay they have given the Steam version. Kiyofacepalm1 Perhaps I shall go back and play the first one further than I did before. My old rig could run stuff like Crysis, The Witcher 2 and Alan Wake on fairly modest settings considering the specs it was but it ran Dark Souls like total ass no matter what I did. This new rig should be able to crunch it with no problem though.

It should run smoothly, I don’t think it’s too heavy on computer specs(granted, it would be for me) "For the curse of life is the curse of want. And so, you peer... Into the fog, in hope of answers." -

Well that’s the thing, my old computer could run far more computationally stressing software on it without a hitch but Dark Souls was very laggy and loved to drop frames which would cause a lot of deaths. I recalled the console versions having issues there but I seemed to be one of the few PCers who was hit by some phantom bug, just my luck. Now though? That game is going to be my bitch. When I get around to it.

I played on the console so I know all the areas with the framerate drops. Blighttown is ridiculous about being laggy on the 360 once you get to the swampy areas and off of the makeshift ghoul bridges. "For the curse of life is the curse of want. And so, you peer... I’m pretty sure Blighttown is laggy as hell no matter what you do, don’t even know what sort of stuff From may have fucked up there to make it run so badly. -

http://i.imgur.com/KdlmOi8.gif " /> Game’s out for 360 and PS3 at the moment. The month-long wait for the delayed PC version begins. To try and ease the pain a little, I’ve been finally getting around to playing DkS1. Let’s ask this fine fellow here how the pain-easing is going:
