One of the best ballads ever done by one of the best Thrash Metal bands. I have to listen to this song at least twice every time.

I’m so glad that wwwhhoooo already posted a Talking Heads song, because now I know that at least one other person likes my favorite band of all time! I’m also very pleased to see so many Genesis and U2 songs posted! I think I will fit in quite well here :)

Speaking of Talking Heads, here is one of my personal favorites. I still havent found a song that so accurately captures the feeling of being in love, if only for a moment.

      Hello everyone!

So since this thread is about music I will tell you all a cool story that happened to me this week. Basically to sum it up in one sentence, I went and saw my favorite band (Franz Ferdinand) perform live in concert for two days. The first day I was given a song dedication by name from the band and placed on the guest list for the second show because I had made them a fan video on YouTube and sent it to them on Twitter. They stopped the show and said:

“Before we start again, Is there a (my name) in the crowd? *crowd points to me* You made the video right? *I nod* This next song is for you! Thanks for the video!”

The second day I was handed a pair of drum sticks by the drummer. These were my first two concerts that I had paid for (other than free university concerts). It was the best two days of my life.

Here is a picture I took of them!

So you did get to do all that? So epic man, It’s stuff like this that makes you really want to do more fan competition type stuff because you know somebody who actually got to live a dream through it. Make sure you save those sticks!

I guess since this seems to be a popular music thread right now

Cool story shadbomb. Reminds me of my first concert … well it was a three day heavy metal festival but smae thing. Last year when my hair was shorter i went to sonisphere knebworth, on my own. My parents only found out the day the ticket arrived and boy were they pissed. Funny thing is i went to an open day to visit cambridge uni the day before and then stayed at a b&B until the festival started and pitched my tent at the first available spot, 10 metres from the entrance or 15 mins from the stages. Getting to see metallica anthrax megadeth slayer slipknot motorhead and diamond head was awesome, trying to fit my overly tall body into a tent however proved problematic as did the rain … and my lack of mass made me crap at mosh pits. My ears will never forget that experience and late at night they remind me with some good old tinnitus from the time i went to a portaloo that was literally vibrating with slayer performing not 100 metres away.

I was going to go to the download festival this year but i clashed with exams.

i’m sure most people here know of Paranoid by Black Sabbath, well listening to it today i got struck with a bolt of inspiration and so here is my reworking of the lyrics to suit a certain somebody whom i’m sure you can all guess.

Finished with Mihoshi ‘cause she really messes with my mind,

People think I’m insane because I am frowning all the time,

All day long I work for rent but Mihoshi always gets the sack,

Think I’ll lose my mind if she asks one more time for a snack.

Can you help me get away from her,

      Oh yeah.

I need someone to help me with getting my career on track,

I can’t see that ever happening I feel like I’m about to crack,

Wreck my life and I will sigh and you will laugh and I will cry,

Happiness I never feel and love with Tenchi’s a big deal,

And so as you hear these words telling you now why I left,

I tell you not to follow me now I can stop feeling so bereft.

 what do you think, i knocked that out in quarter of an hour.

Your wish is my command thorn, here you go

So sick of Mihoshi always begging for snacks,

      I don’t like how I always work ,

And she just sits around everyday.

I hate this Kuramitsu who can’t pilot the ship.

“Hey you are gonna get outta my life

Or else I’ll start falling apart”

I hate how my partner’s always mucking up,

She always wants to sing karaoke

But I don’t have the cash.

I love my job, all of my police friends

I hate Mihoshi to the bitter end.

Nothing turns out right, there’s no end in sight

      I hate my life!

How come I never get paid, good girls always lose.

How could she lose us another job.

There’s always some kind of excuse

I still love my job, I need a promotion

“I don’t get paid nearly enough

To put up with all of her mess”

I love my job, all of my police friends

I hate Mihoshi to the bitter end.

Nothing turns out right, there’s no end in sight

      I hate my life!

      Yeah!

I hate that I can’t get back my career,

You know, I work hard every day and all night

Then Mihoshi falls flat on her face .

So if you’re angry like me

This here is what you gotta do

Commandeer the nearest spaceship and run

      Leave her and say goodbye

I love my job, all of my police friends

I hate Mihoshi to the bitter end.

Nothing turns out right, there’s no end in sight

      I hate my life!

My job at stake, can’t catch a break

      I hate my life

No, it’s nothing new, “it really sucks when with you”

      I really hate my life!

Not 100% happy with it but it roughly works.

I couldn’t find the themes thread so I figured this was also a good place to ask. What’s that music called that plays in OVA episodes 11 and 12 when Ryoko gets abducted and when Zero Ryoko tries to kill Tenchi?

Having not uploaded anything for a long time and having rescued my video camera from my home i thought it was time to perform and record myself playing two songs i had learnt yet not played in their entirety for at least a month. Enjoy.

Well, thanks, WHo… but it really wasn’t a lot to do. I’ve been pretty much locked into the “b” recording studio here on campus, and I use a piano arrangement of “Dimensions of Love” as a warmup whenever I practice piano.

All I had to do was move the mics from the drums to the piano and record. >boom!< instant song. ^_^

Okay, I have to talk about this for a minute. This is only two songs from what is undoubtedly one of the most unique and amazing albums that has ever been produced. The band is Uneven Structure. The album is Februus. If you have a chance get the physical, 2 disc set. If you are a metal head you would be doing yourself a great disservice to not at least give this album a listen. I can’t wait to see what this band makes in the future. The album is divided into ten songs, but when you listen to it, you’ll find it is one long epic musical masterpiece. Seriously, check this thing out.

I know…It’s horribly cliche, but ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ was my personal anthem in high school. I remember we would sing karaoke on the sax bus during every band trip. That song was sung at least once every time.

The kings of Dark/Doom Jazz have returned with quite possibly their most balanced work since Sunset Mission. Sultry, seductive – yet mysterious. The downtempo end to a night at the Jazz club, perhaps locking eyes with a mistress as the final cigarettes burn to ash and everyone leaves into the chilly air of the deep hour of the night.

For a little over a year I’ve been writing out a stage performance featuring the musical/sound talents of several of my favorite artists in their respective fields. The chance of getting the four of them together to work on such a large undertaking, especially considering the amount of practical stage effects that would be required for the show to work, is next to nothing. But it doesn’t stop me from picturing the scenes vividly as my brain coasts along on their music. It will never amount to anything more than a private show that exists in only my head but I’m ok with that.

Lately I’ve been returning to the script and making some changes and I figure I could share a little bit of the sound that embodies the performance, by the artists whom I would want in on said production.

      The Aether:

      [BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFKUwMYgoAw[/BBvideo]

A presence whose very existence floats between the quietest moments. Its spiritual energy forming the base from which all things depend. A percussive and bass-heavy manipulated guitar treatment serves as the musical half of the performance.

      The Willow:

      [BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJLC5791I2E[/BBvideo]

A spirit trapped inside the body of a giant tree, lurching over from age and sorrow. It is the centerpiece of the forest where it lies yet there is an inescapable feeling of neglect on display. Those who hear her tales are blessed with the knowledge of several generations’ past but soon that voice shall be silent. An orchestral arrangement led by a Cello is the musical accompaniment for the Willow.

      The Earth:

      [BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kl0mtyPe7mw[/BBvideo]

The whole of the stage for this drama. The Earth’s contributions are essential for the backdrop, yet are only heard and never seen. Projected sounds of nature timed and mixed on the fly into and surrounding the audience is the entirety of his performance.

      The Narrator:

      [BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezbgK3GiMMc[/BBvideo]

Our translator, our guide to the sounds we have tuned out of our daily lives. He speaks for which cannot. His voice will not steer us every moment, only serving as a movement between each respective act of the performance and the final thing heard in the finale. He could take any shape or form, blend in with each scene or act as an outside observer much the same as the viewer.

It’s kind of one of my own personal passion projects and I doubt the music will be of much interest to anyone but myself but I haven’t exactly talked about this to people before. I don’t know why but I figured I might as well start now.

No youtubes up yet but one of my most anticipated albums finally hit the big sites and I gave it a listen. The Swans have delivered once again with raw, haunting energetic jam sessions that evolve into a story of their own.

She Loves Us I think is a pretty good selection to illustrate what it is like to live on the edge of madness as only Michael Gira knows how to do. Though, Chuck will be pleased to hear that St. Vincent does guest vocals on several tracks on the album as well~

Trent’s best, really. A monolithic double album which covers just about every sound he’s ever pursued. Not as cohesive as The Downward Spiral or iconic but it certainly deserves to stand up there with it.

and now it is time for me to gush about Boris again

      [BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GndQg8SsU1o[/BBvideo]

Their new album “Noise” is due to hit very soon but a high bitrate FLAC copy was put into the wild yesterday. It’s really as they say, a road trip through all of the genres they’ve ever performed. There’s some of the immediate ass-kicking fuzz punk from Pink/Heavy Rocks/Smile, stoner/post rock from Flood/Dronevil and even their pop albums New Album/Attention Please. The song above caught me off guard because it’s done something they’ve almost never done before – let Wata sing on a bass heavy and groovy song. The riff is excellent throughout but when the song gives a fake stop halfway through and this lush explosion of sound kicks in a few seconds later it made me say “damn”.

I’ve listened to this trio for years and they never cease to surprise me.

He’s a legendary composer and pianist who has a list of works as long as a building in Dubai is tall. He’s teamed up with quite a few people and produced a lot of soundtrack work over the years, including the Dreamcast’s bootup noise and the soundtrack for L.ack O.f L.ove (as well as being the writer!) on the same system. Gonna throw a few videos in here.

First up is a collaboration he did with German glitch musician Alva Noto.

      [BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MbQp6rfC8g[/BBvideo]

Ryuichi plays live piano while Alva cuts up, samples and provides percussive beats by manipulating the sound. They did 5 albums together but Insen is my favorite because of the dreamy sound. Some of the others used unsettling sounds or high pitched tones and I don’t care too much for those. The mingling of interspersed live samplings really makes this almost dance-able.

Next up is his last collaborative album with Austrian guitarist and texture artist Fennesz.

      [BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwELGACE-GY[/BBvideo]

Fennesz provides a fuzzy, lush backdrop through careful guitar treatment to Sakamoto’s slow, downtempo keystrokes. You can hear bits of the natural guitar sound try to pierce the cloudy sky, or on occasion hear it turn almost synth-like. Sakamoto’s composition is introspective and tinged with feelings of regret, nostalgia and on occasion a bit of hope.

For something a bit different, here’s a piece he did for David Sylvian’s album Dead Bees on a Cake.

      [BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKpwTgmOPn8[/BBvideo]

Instead of his usual Piano compositions, we see his interest in World Music come out. He used programmed instruments and guitar to give the track an exotic sound. He and Sylvian have collaborated on at least 5 albums together over the years with each one having a fairly distinct tone compared to the others.

But, perhaps most familiar to people is this little ditty:

As some of you know, the soundtrack to OVA series 1 and 2 had its music dubbed by Sharyn Scott. She is the singer who gave us the English versions of “Talent for Love”, “I’m a Pioneer”, and “Lonely Moon”. Be aware that she is still in business, and has new music out! For a taste, here is a video from her YouTube channel with some of her more recent work.

This song is a very special one for me because it was the first piece of music I heard when I had my “musical awakening.” For the first half of my life I really didn’t listen or care about music at all. I was aware of the groups and songs that were popular with my peers, of course, but I had no personal connection with music. All that changed one night at a church sponsored lock-in I attended in junior high. I borrowed my mom’s iPod to occupy my time after everybody had gone to sleep, and I randomly selected a playlist innocuously titled “80’s music.” I literally spent the next six hours in abject astonishment as song after song, album after album, poured into my head and completely changed my world. The bands and songs I listened to that night (Peter Gabriel, Talking Heads, U2, Jars of Clay, etc.) have stuck with me all these years, and radically altered the way I look at the world of music and art, but it all started with this one song, that one night…

A really good band I’ve picked up on for the last month or two. Best listen I’ve had in a while.

10 years ago, a dance punk duo burst out from the Canadian music scene with their heavy sound, described by the band as “an elephant in your living room”. After a few short years together, they split in 2006 citing creative differences.

Now, a decade after their debut album comes their second full-length. More refined and focusing on the groovy aspects rather than the raw energy of the first album, it isn’t a retread but rather a maturation of the sound they introduced in 2004. Kinda tempted to pick up my bass again and try to teach myself the songs like I did for the debut way back in the day.

      Quote:

Haida preferred to listen to instrumental music, chamber music, and vocal recordings. Music where the orchestral component was loud and prominent wasn’t to his liking. Tsukuru wasn’t very interested in classical music (or any other music, for that matter), but he did enjoy listening to it with Haida.

As they listened to one piano recording, Tsukuru realized that he’d heard the composition many times in the past. He didn’t know the title, however, or the composer. It was a quiet, sorrowful piece that began with a slow, memorable theme played out as single notes, then proceeded into a series of tranquil variations. Tsukuru looked up from the book he was reading and asked Haida what it was.

“Franz Liszt’s ‘Le mal du pays.’ It’s from his Years of Pilgrimage suite’ Year 1: Switzerland.'”

      “‘Le mal du…’?”

“‘Le mal du pays.’ It’s French. Usually it’s translated as ‘homesickness,’ or ‘melancholy.’ If you put a finer point on it, it’s more like ‘a groundless sadness called forth in a person’s heart by a pastoral landscape.’ It’s a hard expression to translate accurately.”

“A girl I know used to play that piece a lot. A classmate of mine in high school.”

“I’ve always liked this piece. It’s not very well known, though,” Haida said. “Was your friend a good pianist?”

“Hard to say. I don’t know much about music. But every time I heard it I thought it was beautiful. How should I put it? It had a calm sadness, but wasn’t sentimental.”

“Then she must have played it well,” Haida said. “The piece seems simple technically, but it’s hard to get the expression right. Play it just as it’s written on the score, and it winds up pretty boring. But go the opposite route and interpret it too intensely, and it sounds cheap. Just the way you use the pedal makes all the difference, and can change the entire character of the piece.”

      “Who’s the pianist here?”

“A Russian, Lazar Berman. When he plays Liszt it’s like he’s painting a delicately imagined landscape. Most people see Liszt’s piano music as more superficial, and technical. Of course, he has some tricky pieces, but if you listen very carefully to his music you discover a depth to it that you don’t notice at first. Most of the time it’s hidden behind all the embellishments. This is particularly true of the Years of Pilgrimage suites. There aren’t many living pianists who can play it accurately and with such beauty. Among more contemporary pianists, Berman gets it right, and with the older pianists I’d have to go with Claudio Arrau.”

Haida got quite talkative when it came to music. He went on, delineating the special characteristics of Berman’s performance of Liszt, but Tsukuru barely listened. Instead, a picture of Shiro performing the piece, a mental image, vivid and three-dimensional, welled up in his mind. As if those beautiful moments were steadily swimming back, through a waterway, against the legitimate pressure of time.

The Yamaha grand piano in the living room of her house. Reflecting Shiro’s conscientiousness, it was always perfectly tuned. The lustrous exterior without a single smudge or fingerprint to mar its luster. The afternoon light filtering in through the window. Shadows cast in the garden by the cypress trees. The lace curtain wavering in the breeze. Teacups on the table. Her black hair, neatly tied back, her expression intent as she gazed at the score. Her ten long, lovely fingers on the keyboard. Her legs, as the precisely depressed the pedals, possessed a hidden strength that seemed unimaginable in other situations. Her calves were like glazed porclean, white and smooth. Whenever she was asked to play something, this piece was the one she most often chose. “Le mal du pays.” The groundless sadness called forth in a person’s heart by a pastoral landscape. Homesickness. Melancholy.

As he lightly shut his eyes and gave himself up to the music, Tsukuru felt is chest tighten with a disconsolate, stifling feeling, as if, before he realized it, he’d swallowed a hard lump of cloud. The piece ended and went on the the next track, but he said nothing, simply allowing those scenes to wash over him. Haida shot him an occasional glance.

“If you don’t mind, I’d like to leave this record here. I can’t listen to it in my dorm room anyway,” Haida said as he slipped the LP back into its jacket.

Even know this three-disc boxed set was still in Tsukuru’s apartment. Nestled right next to Barry Manilow and the Pet Shop Boys.

It’s getting to be about that Halloween time, so ol’ Nil will be digging into his wild & weird stuff to truly celebrate what is the best month of the year. But to start us off, one that isn’t usually considered when you think of ghosts and ghouls.

      [BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08RPqUWVRKA[/BBvideo]

Hitting at the very end of the album (or second to last, with the hidden track that comes after it), a Song for the Deaf brings the fictional car-ride the listener goes on to a close. Only, just as the wheels peak at the top of the crest on a hill in the desert, one begins to realize that what’s on the other side wasn’t just more sand and open road. Rather, a pit to the underworld itself has cracked the surface of the earth and a small push from an unseen force sends us careening downward into it.

While the album never shied away from religious imagery, Song for the Deaf was like a slap to the face when you hit it. The way the guitars sounded just so off, the screaming of bassist Nick Oliveri barking in the background in pained cries, it all painted the sky with such a hellish aura. It was as though the road trip we went on wasn’t to go back home, but to go to hell itself.

The next part of Nil’s “Halloween soundtrack” series, a much different and extremely challenging listen. Ákos Rózmann’s Images of the Dream and Death.

      [BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGB_o5WJrVA[/BBvideo]

      [BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8lxP94-Ejw[/BBvideo]

In the 70s, Rózmann had begun to process a performance piece utilizing musique concrète and electroacoustic improvisation to represent forces of good and evil. Much to his displeasure at the time, he had difficulty having the more optimistic side of the “good” come through – he noticed that elements used for the evil side tended to decay whatever positive effects the good would bring. He began to use that to his advantage and the finished piece is an almost hallucinatory trip through the darkest corners of existence. Each piece sits freely, muscles tensely coiling, awaiting its turn to strike out.

Screams, howls, warbling metal pieces, chiming bells and other sounds both natural and alien to our ears comprise the battle. It is a deeply unsettling, at times outright disturbing, artistic rendition of a war that’s been fought since the beginning of time and shall continue to rage on long after humanity has perished.

Headphones are very much recommended to take in the finest details, though be warned that there are quite a few sharp increases in volume.

Opeth is easily one of my favorite groups in existence. They can go from doing growls and pure out gothic death metal sounds to mellow jazz infused melodies. In this song, well, in this album, they took a route I really enjoyed. A very retro feel of 70’s progressive rock. The ambience throughout the album is just phenomenal. Steven Wilson from Porcupine Tree also helped put this album together with the group and you can hear a LOT of influence from his assistance.

They’ve surprised me with their flexibility in sound. Usually in the metal genre, once you’ve found your niche you stick in it. Opeth hasn’t stood running in place.

Next up on “Oh god Nil, where did you find this” spooky halloween themed music:

Lustmord’s Heresy (check that link out for the whole album, really should be heard all at once) was the culmination of the recording techniques Brian had honed during the mid to late 80s. Taking pre-recorded snippets and replaying them in underground caves, crypts and catacombs, Heresy had an absolutely suffocating atmosphere. Intending to use the natural frequencies of the chosen locations as an instrument itself, a filter through which earthly sounds would be mangled through, the results produced feel as though one is being swallowed whole by a merciless planet. A soundtrack for the apocalypse brought about by a god tired of mankind’s bullshit. Or perhaps the absence of a god entirely.

Good headphones or a system with a subwoofer heavily recommended to really open up the cavernous soundstage and take in all of the minute details. Blaring horns, droning synths, screams of men and children alike refracted off of the jagged surfaces of Earth’s subterranean impurities. Echos which suggest that the drama unfolding is occurring at a safe distance from where we sit, yet every now and then we hear something less muffled by the corrosion of the traveling soundwaves. It isn’t so far off after all, is it?

      [BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1HEiQJEmBg[/BBvideo]

Having actually gotten to see this song live minus the choir, I can, in fact, confirm that living through it is similar to witnessing a satanic birthing ritual. The buildup of the organ, droning wall of guitars and fallen angelic voices decrying the heaven which forgot them all leads to Attila Csihar’s inhumanly robotic exclamation of “Megszentségteleníthetetlenségeskedéseitekért”, the longest hungarian word, speaking on one’s inability to be desecrated. Desecration by what, exactly? We don’t know. All I can imagine is being at the center of a podium with a hooded figure standing above me, waving a bony, clawed hand mere inches from my body. Each toll of the bell a punctuation on the final moments of my life.

Honestly, pretty much any of Sunn O)))’s output could work here. But I feel that Big Church represents them at their most experimental, as well as their most digestible. If you’re feeling particularly frisky, peruse their fine output for some chilling dark ambient and black metal drones.

      And finally:

      http://i.imgur.com/gU0gOSL.jpg" />

David Tibet and Current 93 are very well known for their interest in the occult, unsettling poetry dominating most of the lyrical content in their body of work. The Starres are Marching Sadly Home is the third part of “The inmost light” trilogy, which used a series of repeated words, phrases and sounds as part of the central theme. The trilogy began on a lush but tense note, and ended in the middle of the woods surrounded by the folds of reality tearing apart with the swaying of the breeze with Starres.

While less strictly musical, it is an exemplary track that I always bring up when referring to the power of audio above all else when creating an unsettling atmosphere. Everything from the way Tibet chants to the echoing of a vinyl record looping constantly through an open window at the edge of the forest. The way the forest breathes with a low-key chorus and the wood of trees unseen creak from pressure and decay. A the very end, a motherly voice assures us everything will be okay with a gentle lullaby. But there’s no love to her voice. It’s almost taunting the listener in a way, reassuring them of their hopelessness in the situation.

      Happy Halloween, everybody.

Took me a few listens before I really had it click for me. I think I was expecting more of Sunn O))), but once I realized it was Scott’s show and Greg/Stephen were just there to hang the drapery around him as he warbled I really enjoyed it. Reminded me a bit of the time they hooked up with Julian Cope for the spoken word piece in My Wall, but far more theatrical. I saw someone describe it as “Phantom of the Opera, if the actor playing the phantom thought he really was the character”, and I can’t think of a better way to explain Soused.

Stephen O’ Malley has emerged from the depths of the underworld with multi-instrumentalist mastermind of composition Oren Ambarchi and Japan’s free-jazz minimalist warlock Keiji Haino in a new 4 song sequel to 2012’s self-titled “Nazoranai”. A brutal assault on the senses, O’Malley trades his usual axes for a bass guitar, Ambarchi helms a stampeding frenzy behind the drumkit, while Haino-san provides gurgling synths, spastic improvised guitar riffs and vocals not unlike a Banshee trapped in the void. This first track, You Should Look Closely / Those Shattered Spells / Never Attaining Embodiment as Prayer / They Are Born Here Again illustrates the sheer power behind their performances and highlights why each of these players are considered top men in their respective fields.

Noisy, ritualistic, bleak. Fantastically challenging listen.

In a place between dreams, the world fades merely to static as our minds prepare to draw the curtain. Static is often thought of as unwanted, harsh noise. Yet it can be melodic and alluring. Rather than just the snow from your TV, it is droplets of rain against a window. A breeze knocking the trees outside of your window around. Waves crashing against the shore. Static Nocturne is an ode to the beauty it possesses, cushioning like a warm and comfortable bed.

It’s no secret that I love rock opera, and one of my favorite groups is the Protomen. The group’s first two albums were rock opera based loosely on the plot of the original Megaman series. A few of my favorite tracks include the following.

After the first two albums, the band has released two albums of covers. The first was a live album with entirely covers of songs by Queen. The second was just released this past January, entitled “The Cover Up”. The cover art for this album is awesome, and the music is damn good. The album features covers of songs by Phil Collins, Stix, Queen, Iron Maiden, Roy Orbison, and others. Here are a few of them.

Solo Pianist and record producer Nils Frahm (no relation) established an e-holiday yesterday to celebrate his instrument of choice, Piano Day. In celebration, he’s released an album available for free in a variety of formats but users can opt to purchase physical copies or donate – for a special cause.

David Klavins is a German piano maker who specializes in large-scale instruments. His Modell 370 holds the record for largest piano currently built. He’s aiming to break this record, and Nils is dedicating all profits from this album towards the 120,000 Euro required to construct this new machine. Say hello to the Klavins M450:

      http://i.min.us/iepeqfZXfiR00.png" />

Approaching 15 feet tall, The M450 will be an engineering marvel and Klavins’ dream instrument. It will be built directly into the wall of a building to eliminate unwanted vibrations and established in a venue to allow for public enjoyment.

Nils performs every piece on this album, -Solo-, on the “prototype” M370. His understanding of space between keystrokes and allowing the room to be filled with a single sound to powerful effect really shines on such a monster of an instrument. It won’t be an experience for everyone, but this marriage of musicianship and craftsmanship makes for a beautiful pairing that shouldn’t be missed by any fan of modern classical stylings.

Am listening to this atm but I’m into various genres and artists. A few of my favourite artists are Fleetwood Mac, Lady Gaga, Skrillex (Dubstep in general), Evanescence, My Chemical Romance, Fallout Boy, Sleeping With Sirens, Paramore, Twenty One Pilots, and quite a few others.
