    Well ok it’s not quite cosplay but it’s clothing!

    Got to thinking about shirts… and found a full color printer place…

    Made some templates…

    If someone actually wanted these, I’d fix them up better…

    …and can’t leave the ladies out…

    I could do the back panel on this one as young Kiyone…

      Love these Z-man! I’ll keep you updated, cuz I think I’d definitely be interested at some point.

      How about these for ideas? Black T shirt, just TenchiForum logo on the front, then on the reverse, reads “You Know You’re A Tenchi Fan When…” & there’s a list of our best “Tenchi Fan Thread-isms” running down the back.

      Here’s another one: How about front just says “MUFFINS!” & also a picture of a muffin. Then on the reverse, says like “You’d have to be there…” or something, &/or a logo of TenchiForum.

      *Of course, none of these would be ‘for sale’ as the Forum has not, does not & will not make money off anything related to Tenchi, but as is in Japan, ‘mutual gift giving’ may be an option 😉

      Yeah I can do whatever….

      I think the basic *at shop cost* is $35 for a single full print, and a dual sided full print is $45.

      As you can see they have a Gundam shirt.

      But I can make these or others fairly easily and clean the images up to look good. You can have the templates pre-made by me and order em yourself if you want. These are just examples. The template is like 12K pixels wide, at 300 dpi, which would be good printer quality, so it should be really good looking.

      Another idea hit me in that we could put the forum logo on the sleeves, rather than taking up the middle.

      Excellent designs JG! The hotsprings one is by far my favorite. If ever there is a need for an “Official” Tenchiforum T-shirt, this one has my vote.

      I really love the Kiyone one plus the Dual ones,especially the top one and the one with D and MS in the

      foreground. 🙂

      Heck Zinv it might not be a bad idea to kick around of opening an Official Tenchi Forum Store.

      If someone else (or really a handful of people) wanted to get some then sure.

      But getting quality prints 1 at a time isn’t particularly cheap. I’d rather order a few

      and get some kinda discount.

      Well not if you’re ordering for yourself.

      If you want to get a group all at the same size and design they can cut the price a bit.

      I’d be interested in one of the JP box set design. (blue with zenin + 4)

      That’s actually a premade shirt. Though it wouldn’t be hard to duplicate and in color.

      Unless you change “phrenetic” to “frenetic,” it’s not going to fit. Alternatively, the font could be changed and what she actually said could be quoted.

      Depends on how many want to get shirts and which shirts.

      Mainly because the more people, the more shirts, and then the pricing changes.

      I’d think some redesign is in order, and it would be best to get a better scan of whatever shirt.

      I myself am undecided as I’m not 100% happy with the Dual options, and I’d like to get one

      of those if I get any other shirt too. But dunno.

      Well I mean what do you want?

      If there’s 3-4 people ordering at once, not sure we’re going to get any benefit splitting them

      up after I get them. Might actually be cheaper to order then and just throw a buck or two my way for the effort in creating the template files.

      As far as making the design, the largest issue is getting good scans. I can use what we have, but higher res is always better.

      well this is the one that i like most. the only question is how much for a mens XL size and where i should mail my money for it

      Yeah far as that goes, I like that one more so than the onsen one too.

      I’d need a little time and a decent scan of the source, which is TU. I want to fix

      Yosho holding Tenchi ken too… them both having black blades is annoying me. I’ll have to fix the

      whole arm with Ayeka being abducted.

      Best thing right now, see if you can find me a good size wall paper or get a scan of whatever the original is, like probably a DVD cover or a LD cover. See what you can find.

      Would you be interested in one that’s dual sided, or just one sided? Different stuff can be on both sides.

      One sided ones are cheaper, but the back is of course blank cotton.

      We can either order a group together, or we can order individually.

      As to when, I have to get the time to work on them, which as I said, it would help me

      a lot if you can find better scans to work with so I can make the shirts look better.

      I just grabbed a scan of the LHW ryoko novel cover so it is do-able.

      Also grabbed the Washu and Yosho one for no other reason but to have them scanned.

      Interestingly, there’s one image that has more to the side, but the color is rather poor.

      And this is the one from the book itself, which I’d have to touch up cause there’s dust speckles

      all over the place.

      But here’s a couple more nice images.

      Need to make a list, of what you want, and particularly are willing

      to pay for. The single sided shirts, are $35 the doubles are $45 and we can

      assume + shipping. We don’t get a discount until you order at least 12 shirts

      (all the same design I think).

      That is the printers cost if you go directly through them.

      Pick something and I’ll try to get the image fixed and edited to a shirt(s).

      I wouldn’t buy one at that price but I can say the Zero picture probably works best on a shirt.

      Not that I blame you for the prices or anything, I know that’s not your fault.

      If you can find better let us know. Every other place I looked at that claims full shirt

      printing, is only doing a square in the middle… which is pretty sad looking.

      I agree they are fairly expensive. But I haven’t found a reputable place that will do as well.

      Great work everyone, it’s okay that they’re not ready for Ohayocon, this is our first ever con as a convention, so much has gone right already, and there’s sooo much else to prepare for. The T-shirts can wait, so rest easy on that note JG (you’re doing so much already).
