Well I’ve been able to listen to the first podcast so far, and I’ve got to say, you all know your stuff, and really seem like the voice of the fans! Just about every single thing you all said I was nodding my head in agreement with. Keep up the great work!

I’ve got $300 headsets and pretty much every chat program known to man, even mumble, so I should be good.
As a note, you could use to list the podcast date taken next to the podcast on the first post.
You say when in posts around the time you did it, but the initial list doesn’t have anything… so not sure if you did them last week or 3 years ago. Being that they are still few in number, might be good to start date stamping now them before you have a big group and have to go back through it all.
You might also save yourself a little work, and have additional redundancy by using

go to and pick where they want to get the file from.

Sure, good spot I suppose. I like the dual idea. I myself don’t know much at all about it, but LW got a point, it’s a facet of Tenchi, prob might as well cover it at some point.
I’d like to throw out as some suggestions, an episode about the music–everyone that loves Tenchi loves the music, whether you’re a Ryoko fan, Ayeka, Washu, doesn’t matter…
Perhaps at some point–I for one would need to do more research–other dubs other than English. Like the Spanish dub, I believe Universe (idk about oav) was actually shown on tv in Mexico, Central America at some point, be interesting to get a perspective from that end (though I don’t know if anyone here has seen it on tv).
People can just bring up their favorite character(s) from series & why, or fav episodes

Well, actually I can’t be at the moment. Dagon handles the podcasts for the most part, usually try to do one every couple of months or so (everyone gets busy) & since we’ve gone through all the topics we had scheduled, we’ll probably be looking for input for ideas for next episode/future episodes…
…but I’m sure Dagon has something up his sleeve…he always does.

Well also keep in mind, Tenchi post “Tenchi Forever” got shifted to VAP, Who aren’t even close to being as big as the juggernaut Geneon Japan is a far as marketing goes, so Tenchi doesn’t have the same marketing push. Also, Tenchi is an older show, and FUNimation isn’t going to put anything into marketing GXP or OVA3 anymore (wonder why….ahem), The first Saga of Tenchi had great marketing in Japan, and while not nearly as big as was in Japan, Toonami did a huge part of marketing Tenchi for us over in the States and UK, but because of the lack of marketing for the last series, followed by no current series to push (Times like this I wish the series released like Slayers or AMG) I don’t think it would be hard to market ISM/SKT over here, but it would take an above average level of effort that no company wants to invest because the show wouldn’t be dragonball z incarnate

We are currently reaching our bandwith cap on podomatic about halfway through the month (we’re apparently pretty popular, lol), which means after a certain point on both podomatic and
primarilyiTunes, listeners will hear “We are sorry but the current podcast cannot be listened to due to low bandwith” I’ve looked into every option possible, (If I could host them myself I would, but no providers support byte-range requests due to security reasons, Go-Daddy, says they do, but 1. I love Host Gator, 2. I’ve heard from many Go-Daddy still doesn’t work, and 3. I don’t like Go-Daddy at all) so here’s the only way to go, Podomatic pro

youtubeFor those who might be wondering and who has shed some light on, this was meant to be a surprise for a number of reasons. Their was just no way we could get everyone into doing this podcast, and with such highly regarded and loved voice actors like Petrea, it’s only natural anyone will want to be a part of it. However, it’s hard enough making sure everyone’s thoughts are heard in a normal podcast, and with the virgin territory we went into here, both technologically and getting a professional actor/actress to participate took planning and patience on everyone’s parts. Petrea did say she was very much open to and wanted to, do another podcast with us, and that’s fantastic. The names here will shift in and out to make sure more people are able to talk with the voice actors in future episodes, but these will be chosen by the staff, because their is a level of professionalism and sociability one must have, because when you talk to these people, you’re representing Tenchiforum as much as you are representing yourself, Thanks to everyone who has listened and been a part of Tenchicast through the years up to this point.

A lot of what Matt said struck me profoundly (I’m sure more on that will come up later) but if I recall there was a part where he referred to working with Petrea as getting to play with Petrea, and it reminded me how awesome I find it that onscreen and off, through their characters and in real life, before Tenchi and after, Matt and Petrea are friends–that’s not as common in the biz as we might imagine it–and that they really did have fun while doing their jobs.
