It was announced that Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi are confirmed to make a 10 episode series of the Evil Dead, with Bruce Campbell coming back as ASH! The show is set to start on October 31 2015 on Starz, I’m really stoked to see Bruce fighting Deadites again and coming out with witty lines.

  A fact I totally forgot to mention is that Lucy Lawless is in the series. Also in the cast is Ray Santiago and Dana Lorenzo.

  We know there’s bound to be references to previous Evil Dead and maybe some other Campbell films, but I’m eager to see if they make a Xena reference.

  Ok, set some time away to either rent or buy Evil Dead 2, watch it, then come back and say how awesome it is. No offense but Evil Dead 2 is the Evil Dead movie to make you a fan of the series. Where else did the word “Groovy” got immortalized as Bruce Campbell’s awesome line?!

  Evil Dead is fantastic. If you haven’t seen it, you should. If you have seen it, look up Evil Dead the Musical. It is hilarious, especially if you are into musicals. I think there is even a performance of it floating around YouTube.
  
  NECA also did a great toyline two years ago with Ash, Chainsaw Ash, Evik Ash, and Henrietta (the grandmother in the basement) I bring them out every Halloween.

  I think most people mistake it for zombies because of Army of Darkness. Though having a evil book that can do and summon supernatural things, we will get to see more of variety of stuff, maybe.

  No it’s more like it doesn’t exist in this series, a new start kind of. They’re are going off of the original first movie storyline and not the second. Though there are probably going to be references from all stories and other shows maybe.

  Probably not for awhile, perhaps digital downloads through iTunes would be sooner. Physical copies take time to make, plus it depends if it does well.

  Doubtful, any show that is currently aired will have any unofficial released videos taken down under copyright. Youtube might be your best bet, just have to be quick in watching it before it’s taken down.

  Depends how you look at it, just watching it I would say yes. When you analyze it, it was the easy and convenient way to end the series.
