    Hey I’m up for whatever. I just know that you gotta start somewhere, and if we can say, “hey, we’ve already got a cleaner/typesetter,” it may be easier. Then we can branch into getting novels translated. That would actually take a real translator though, and yeah, without a Japanese speaking friend, that takes $$. Let’s try and we’ll see. If enough people back it, someone is bound to jump onboard. I mean, you can only have so many people translating Naruto, right? 😆

    Yes, lets try to get something going. I’ll help with whatever I can, I’m pretty proficient with Photoshop. I’d be glad to do anything on the graphic side from cleaning to conversion to typesetting. If you’re really interested, we can try putting “help wanted” ads around the various scan sites and see if anyone bites. Since its affiliated with Tenchiforum we may get some help, rather than just random people yelling “translate this for me!” Either PM me or put an official topic up in the translation area and lets get talking.

    Well I can do cleaning and typesetting. Im not real worried about high quality scans though, I think what is more important is getting the English content out there. I’ve read some pretty crappy scans, I think about how terrible those first releases of Berserk or Great Teacher Onizuka and the horrible quality that I put up with. I think the quality of the scans over at g.hentai would be just fine for the purposes of just getting the content out.

    If you’re interested in taking it up as a project… I’m down. Even if its only a page or two every few weeks, whatever. If people see that someone is working on it, it may lead to getting volunteers from outside the community, if the scans were posted to MangaHere or something like that. That would be awesome, I’d love to be a part of working on a title that I actually have invested myself in for over a decade.

    That’s great thank for the responses! Looks like I’ve got to set some time aside to watch some anime…

    Next question: Are there scanlations for the Tenchi doujinshis? Obviously there’s tons of scans out there of all the stuff, but i haven’t seen any of it translated page by page. If there’s such hardcore fans of Tenchi still around, why hasn’t anyone put a scanlation team together to clean and translate all these Tenchi manga? That’s actually something I’d love to get involved in, the stuff’s been around for long enough apparently.
