Common threads have an Azaka/Kamidake dual-icon to signify if a user is up-to-date on a thread, right? But stickeys… those threads just have their one icon. If a user is checking their “view your posts” page and there’s a thread that another user replied to twice, it could go unnoticed, as there is no change in icon or name, right?
Just a thought. Maybe make a slightly altered icon for stickey threads that unviewed/updated?
I’ve fallen for the stealth sticky post a few times, lord knows the difference is a bit too subtle. Keeping the Tenchi theme in mind, I went ahead and whipped up an idea for alt icons for the various different states the stickies would be put in. As seen in the example below:
