    Some major changes and additions coming to the Toonami lineup next week. They’re dropping the repeat block, doubleing up on reruns, and adding two fan-favorite, action-packed CN shows ( 😮 )

    When all is said and done, the new schedule will look like this:

    12:00 a.m. Bleach

    12:30 a.m. Samurai 7

    1:00 a.m. Casshern Sins

    1:30 a.m. Eureka 7

    2:00 a.m. Sym-Bionic Titan (!)

    2:30 a.m. Thundercats (!)

    I gotta say, I’m pretty excited about this. I loved the new Thundercats, but I missed afew episodes during its initial run, so now I have a chance to catch the whole thing. I’ve heard nothing but good things about Symbiotic Titan, so I look forward to giving that a try.

    FUNimation trailer for the movie BD set is up. The cover art can briefly be seen at the end. Like the OVA set, its using the same art as the JP set (in this case, the frequently used TMiL poster, which also means we may get TMiL2 art on the back)

    Oh definitely. No one should avoid this release simply because it has an innacurate chart on the back cover. I doubt anyone would be buying this release for the chart anyways, so that point is rather moot.

    Hmm, so it appears they really are going with Tenchi Muyo in Love 2 instead of Tenchi Forever. I just found a recently added page for the upcoming movie collection that lists the movie titles and…it uses TMiL2. As I said before,I get the feeling this is going to cause some confusion among the causual fans :?

    Oddly enough, they seem to be using Geneon’s original logo for the ad on the FUNi.com series page for Universe (give it a minute to load, it takes awhile).

    I don’t think that map is so bad though. I’ve seen people screw up the Tenchi continuities much worse than that. The only thing really wrong with it is that they didn’t connect Geminar to GXP (despite them even mentioning the connection in the announcement PR report). I do find it rather odd that they’re using the name Tenchi Muyo in Love 2 for the third movie instead of Tenchi Forever. Its either a mistake, or they’re planning to go with the original JP name which will undoubtably cause some confusion.

    EDIT:

    Oh wait, I see now that they forgot OVA 2 or they’re are just lumping it in with OVA 1, but then why bother putting the one in the dot?

    I didn’t mean that it affected them in a negative way, just that many of the covers seemed to feature several characters or group shots while the BD-Box… didn’t. The plain white background didn’t help either.

    I gotta say, I like the US cover a little better. That strip of space helps it to be not so…plain (though not by much).

    The JP BD cover was already odd to begin with, since nearly every Tenchi cover ever in Japan or the US was fairly busy. Then Japan went all minimalist on the BD set. Not that its a bad thing, but its just a little too plain for my tastes.

    Very fond of this one. Tied with ED#1 from Season 1 as my favorite song from the entire Ah! My Goddess franchise.
