Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey, HEY! Did somebody ask who the greatest anime hero of all time was? Well, who else could it be but the invincible Kamina of Team Gurren?!

Kamina is my pick for greatest anime hero because he embodies the “Never say die!” spirit that just isn’t fashionable in this cynical age. Seriously, his bombastic, indomitable spirit is like something out of a classic propaganda reel, but somehow it doesn’t come off corny. Secretly (or not so secretly), I think we yearn for the simpler time of black and white distinctions between good and evil, and the belief that we can overcome absolutely anything if our grit is true enough. Aw, what the hell am I saying? Kick logic to curb and make the impossible possible!

Welcome back to the fold! I’m always especially happy to see older fans find their way back to the party Thank you for all of the good work you did for the fandom back in the day, and I hope you will find that the old magic is still going strong here!

Since you invited questions, I will ask you one! Have you ever read the Tenchi manga series? It was a really cool, and criminally overlooked piece of the Tenchi franchise, and I think old school fans are especially susceptible to its charms.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing you around, and I hope you make yourself at home!
