Wanted to thank everyone who came out today/tonight and was able to provide a voice for the stream as well as everyone who came to watch. BBL Route had some roles shifted around for voices and some additions to the cast. Wwwwhhhhoooo, who we all wish could have joined us for the madness. We’re working on splitting up the VODs into “episodes” so everyone can watch it in parts comfortably. We managed to blow through the whole thing in 6 hours and 19 minutes, which will have some of the fat cut out when we remove bits of dead air as we had to wait for phone calls and other things. Be honored, and carve it into your souls! Keep your eyes peeled for the post either Dagon or I will make later that has the edited footage! - September 20, 2014 at 10:27 AM

Today’s the day! I ask that everyone performing be in Mumble as early as 3PM EST so that we can make sure everyone is set up and ready. Once we’ve got everyone there and ready to go, or it hits 4PM, the stream will begin! Be sure you’ve downloaded and installed, I’m hoping to just check to make sure everyone’s saves are working before we hit the big red button. But things can happen, so I’ve given us a little bit of elbow room in the event that something explodes! [BBvideo 425,350] [/BBvideo]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDWUvc5wv7U Quote:Haida preferred to listen to instrumental music, chamber music, and vocal recordings. Music where the orchestral component was loud and prominent wasn’t to his liking. Tsukuru wasn’t very interested in classical music (or any other music, for that matter), but he did enjoy listening to it with Haida.
As they listened to one piano recording, Tsukuru realized that he’d heard the composition many times in the past. He didn’t know the title, however, or the composer. It was a quiet, sorrowful piece that began with a slow, memorable theme played out as single notes, then proceeded into a series of tranquil variations. Tsukuru looked up from the book he was reading and asked Haida what it was.
“Franz Liszt’s ‘Le mal du pays.’ It’s from his
Years of Pilgrimagesuite’ Year 1: Switzerland.'” “‘Le mal du…’?”
“‘Le mal du pays.’ It’s French. Usually it’s translated as ‘homesickness,’ or ‘melancholy.’ If you put a finer point on it, it’s more like ‘a groundless sadness called forth in a person’s heart by a pastoral landscape.’ It’s a hard expression to translate accurately.”
“A girl I know used to play that piece a lot. A classmate of mine in high school.”
“I’ve always liked this piece. It’s not very well known, though,” Haida said. “Was your friend a good pianist?”
“Hard to say. I don’t know much about music. But every time I heard it I thought it was beautiful. How should I put it? It had a calm sadness, but wasn’t sentimental.”
“Then she must have played it well,” Haida said. “The piece seems simple technically, but it’s hard to get the expression right. Play it just as it’s written on the score, and it winds up pretty boring. But go the opposite route and interpret it too intensely, and it sounds cheap. Just the way you use the pedal makes all the difference, and can change the entire character of the piece.”
“Who’s the pianist here?”
“A Russian, Lazar Berman. When he plays Liszt it’s like he’s painting a delicately imagined landscape. Most people see Liszt’s piano music as more superficial, and technical. Of course, he has some tricky pieces, but if you listen very carefully to his music you discover a depth to it that you don’t notice at first. Most of the time it’s hidden behind all the embellishments. This is particularly true of the
Years of Pilgrimagesuites. There aren’t many living pianists who can play it accurately and with such beauty. Among more contemporary pianists, Berman gets it right, and with the older pianists I’d have to go with Claudio Arrau.” Haida got quite talkative when it came to music. He went on, delineating the special characteristics of Berman’s performance of Liszt, but Tsukuru barely listened. Instead, a picture of Shiro performing the piece, a mental image, vivid and three-dimensional, welled up in his mind. As if those beautiful moments were steadily swimming back, through a waterway, against the legitimate pressure of time.
The Yamaha grand piano in the living room of her house. Reflecting Shiro’s conscientiousness, it was always perfectly tuned. The lustrous exterior without a single smudge or fingerprint to mar its luster. The afternoon light filtering in through the window. Shadows cast in the garden by the cypress trees. The lace curtain wavering in the breeze. Teacups on the table. Her black hair, neatly tied back, her expression intent as she gazed at the score. Her ten long, lovely fingers on the keyboard. Her legs, as the precisely depressed the pedals, possessed a hidden strength that seemed unimaginable in other situations. Her calves were like glazed porclean, white and smooth. Whenever she was asked to play something, this piece was the one she most often chose. “Le mal du pays.” The groundless sadness called forth in a person’s heart by a pastoral landscape. Homesickness. Melancholy.
As he lightly shut his eyes and gave himself up to the music, Tsukuru felt is chest tighten with a disconsolate, stifling feeling, as if, before he realized it, he’d swallowed a hard lump of cloud. The piece ended and went on the the next track, but he said nothing, simply allowing those scenes to wash over him. Haida shot him an occasional glance.
“If you don’t mind, I’d like to leave this record here. I can’t listen to it in my dorm room anyway,” Haida said as he slipped the LP back into its jacket.
Even know this three-disc boxed set was still in Tsukuru’s apartment. Nestled right next to Barry Manilow and the Pet Shop Boys.

It seems like Hitbox.tv has been having issues with uploading to youtube and the direct downloads function was removed temporarily. So, if you guys want to watch the replay you can watch the entire 7 hour and 45 minute drama directly on my . Due to the slight delay between what I was seeing and what everyone else was seeing on stream to read their parts, there are awkward 5-7 second delays for each line. In the first run, there was also a brief moment of desync where lines were going away before they were being said. I apologize for the roughness. Hopefully you can still enjoy someof the goofiness, as everyone played their partsHitbox VODsextremelywell! But that’s not all! Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves a lot and interest is high, so on
Saturday, September 20th at ~3-4PM EST, we will take on the legendary BBL Mode of Hatoful Boyfriend. It is going to be a 6 hour gauntlet of Visual Novel madness that none of you are quite ready for, but I think it is going to be just as fun (if not more) and hopefully my solution to remove the pauses between dialogs will work out great and it will be a much, muchmore fluid viewing experience. Should Wwwwhhhhoooo wish (if he’s able to make it), he could take on one of his previous roles or be given a new role. There will be a few extra characters in BBL mode, so there will be more chances for people to take on additional roles. I will be retiring my role of Taka Washi, and have my friend Lin Cereal take over. Since the protag is supposed to be a girl, well, this kind of makes a lot more sense! And now I can be Shuu full-time, oh
joy. Anyways, I’m glad mostly everyone was able to make it last Saturday and enjoyed themselves. I can’t wait for BBL Mode on the 20th!

Really glad to see them get almost every Seiyuu back, wonder why they were unable to secure Ayeka’s… Even still, really liking the way these final designs are looking. Way more polished than the quick sketch-outs we were shown weeks ago. The added facial expressions was a great touch, lets you see more aspects of the characters. Now let’s get that trailer! The background with all of the characters looks great, too.

Tailfeathers up, boys! The final 3 main cast members have been selected: shadowsfall0as Nageki FujishiroWwwhhhoooas Kawara Ryouta&
Nil Admirarias Shuu Iwamine And a special addition:
Kiyamias Azami Koshiba http://i.minus.com/itUGWEog4bKTt.png" /> Quote:Azami Koshiba(voiced by Kiyami) is the only female bird on the cast. She is a member of a biker gang and has a very gung-ho, hollywood attitude. She’s not one to break speed limits, though. Safety first! And with that, we have the cast & crew of St. PigeoNation’s High School ready to fly! Practice your parts, drink some Throat Coat before bed on Friday and prepare yourself for the greatest drama ever to drift on wings of love.
If everyone enjoys, I hope to tackle the game’s much more involved and crazy “BBL” route sometime in the next week or two. That will take us about 4-5 hours in total (maybe longer with the slight voice delay) but is even nuttier than the normal routes. Anyhow, see you guys after 4PM EST on Saturday!

Thankfully Hitbox.tv has a very nice youtube export feature so I’ll be moving those over to my channel once the videos process, and then of course I’ll post them here so everyone can watch!
