    This is possibly Kajishima’s attempt to add credit to his name through, piggybacking off of Negishi’s work. Ai Tenchi Muyo was written and directed by Hiroshi Negishi, but the books on Ai are a different matter. I think I remember reading somewhere they had ousted Negishi when putting the book together.

    Sasami has a bunch of magical girl anime to herself already, I think she has enough. Though a revival of the Tenchi girls as magical girls might be more doable. Especially Ryoko and Ayeka are basic opposites no matter what kind of anime they are in.

    The table of contents pretty much follows the order the movie was told in. The Year 1970 is when the events of In Love are taken place and when Kain was eliminated.

    Kain Sealed – Space Calendar 507410 = Earth Calendar Year: 1896

    Kain destroyed – Space Calendar 507484 = Earth Calendar Year: 1970

    Kain’s escape/GP attacked – Space Calendar 507510 = Earth Calendar Year: 1996

    The Yosho picture was unexpected and possible cut from the movie or just for the novel. Pii is going to love making theories on that picture.

    Awesome scans with good quality. I thought it would be just a re telling of In love, but the pictures are alluding to more than what was in the movie. Eager for info from the novel.

    I said young master because when I saw: 若 = waka, I seen it in another light novel translation.

    I know the translation this grounded as Young One and the note is someone else’s interpretation of another text. I just like to say the context is sort of the same way, someone young having respect of others in a higher position being called a young master.
