Sentai isn’t releasing Yuki Yuna. Pony Canyon is, who are taking the Aniplex approach of border-line Japanese prices for single volumes of like 4 eps each with fancy, elaborate CE’s.

If Sentai did one for Punch Line, it would still be a complete box set and could probably be found for $80 to $120 depending on what’s in it.

I wasn’t originally going to post this here, as it’s not Tenchi related, but I figured why not? This one is a lot more artsy than most of my pictures, which are usually just line art and some basic colors. I got the idea to try this style a few days ago when I was looking up a picture of Nicolas from Gangsta to show to Snow. I came across some fanart of him done similar to this, entirely in black and one other color. I thought it looked really cool and decided to try my hand at it while also trying out some clothing ideas I’ve had recently (the sweater vest, specifically). Two birds with one stone!

I’m not entirely satisfied with how the face and head came out, but everything else is pretty much exactly what I was going for. Eventually I might do a whole series like this, each using a different color.

No, at this point it’s officially happening. They just won’t get the go-ahead to actually start production until the end of the year. Meaning late 2016 is the earliest we’re likely to see it debut.

In other news, I made tiny, incremental progress on the 2nd season of Star Blazers tonight by watching Episode 16.

Weirdest line, courtesy of Princess Invidia:

“You sound just like my father when he’s feeling very good.”

Funniest line when spoken out of context…

    Sandor: “Give us maximum enlargement.”

Dang, that was a pretty cool episode though. And kinda sad. sadface1

…I think? It ended with a bit of a cliffhanger.

I believe Mitsuki was referring to the price of the eventual English release.

It should be in line with Sentai’s other dubbed releases (assuming it gets a dub, which I think is likely). For a 13 episode Blu-ray set, something like $70 MSRP, but Rightstuf and Amazon will have them marked down closer to the $40-$50 range. As usual, dirt cheap compared to the Japanese Blu-rays. It’ll basically the entire show for roughly the price of ONE Japanese Blu-ray volume.

Found a pretty sweet AMV for Redline.

Redline was such a cool movie. If you haven’t seen it yet, go fix that.

so we might see a bundle after all when the final volume drops.

I was referring to the Japanese volumes. We English speakers won’t see anything until Sentai releases their box set next year, or whenever they’re allowed to.

Rightstuf won’t be bundling the Japanese volumes for sale in the US/EU.

New Gundam trailer! Mostly character introductions and a story breakdown, but there is some new animation.

As seen here, the first volume came out last month, volume 2 lands next week, actually. They’re coming out monthly. The sixth and final Japanese volume doesn’t drop until December.
