Not sure they’re going to be able to do it justice in just a movie though… too much backstory to have to cover.

    Don’t sweat the little details… 😉

The story begins in 2013 when skycrapers in London, Moscow, Berlin, and New York are destroyed by simultaneous bombings. The indiscriminate terrorism by an unknown group with unknown motives sets off widespread panic throughout the world.

There was once a group of nine cyborg fighters who rescued humanity from threats, but they had disbanded to their home countries. Now the man who created them, Dr. Gilmore, has summoned and assembled them back together again. However, the 00 Number Cyborgs’ former leader, a Japanese man named Joe Shimamura (Mamoru Miyano), is now living alone in Tokyo’s Roppongi with his past memories erased.

I would have liked more episodes.

That way, Kajishima could have had room to to tell all the story he wanted to, without having to leave important stuff on the cutting room floor.

And with that, I’m outta’ this YAFBO3T. :P

    One more thing:

So, Nobu. How do you feel about the new series ^^ from the looks of it it just seems to be getting more and more messy 0_o or at least complicated.

This is why it’d be nice to have English-language access to all of Mr. K’s novels and doujinshi. Because people will scream. And say hateful things. The revelations in the last episode are something we’ve been discussing at AFC for a couple of years now, so it’s not as much of a surprise as a “Hmm, we were right after all.” 😉

Although I’m in the camp who’s disappointed that a couple of questions that have been carried through since the first series have yet to be touched upon, and I doubt that the special episode coming this fall is going to cover them.

Just to make sure all their bases are covered, FUNi has put up Tenchi Universe on Hulu as well.

Also, Tenchi in Tokyo is scheduled to begin streaming for free at FUNi’s site Oct. 19th.

includes the most comically inaccurate “Continuity Map” I have EVER seen. Seriously, it’s like they didn’t even try to get the continuities straight!

    I don’t see the problem. :?

    Please explain. :ghost:
