Wow, not only are they airing Space Dandy dubbed BEFORE the JP broadcast, but Toonami is also expanding by a half-hour, they’re doing three weeks of movies in December, and on top of that they’re also doing something special for that extra DST hour in November. I’M SO EXCITED! AND I JUST CAN’T HIDE IT! bth_iamhappykaboomplz bth_ultimatehighplz bth_rainbowsheep2 imcryingsomuchplz
*Ahem* Now that I’ve composed myself, anyone care to speculate what they might air for those movie nights? With three weeks there’s a lot of potential choices. The entire Berserk trilogy? Eva 3.0? Akira? Redline?
Or perhaps Tenchi Muyo in Love?

And here’s one of Mihoshi… being Mihoshi 😆 After Kiyone left to join the Straw Hat Pirates, it seems Mihoshi decided to become a, uh, Pokemon trainer…

But couldn’t they have made more money by making fans buy two separate books? Maybe Mihoshi and Kiyone didn’t have enough official art to each get their own? Anyways, looks like Kiyone finally found the perfect job. No Mihoshi in sight!

Saint Knight’s Tale was the unofficial English title used by fans for Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari before FUNi officially named it War on Geminar. And yes, the game you’re thinking of is the upcoming Guilty Gear Xrd.

I’m curious to see how the Bayonetta movie turns out. The original game was good, but Gonzo is producing it and their track record doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. [BBvideo 525,350]

- in reply to: Tenchi Manga
Yep, there’s two Japanese manga series and one American-made comic series. No Need for Tenchiis the first manga series. The All-New Tenchi Muyois the sequel. The first is 12 volumes long, the 2nd is 10 volumes. There’s also a one-volume manga collection titled Tenchi Muyo Sasami Storiesthat compiled select stories from the No Need manga that focused on Sasami in addition to many previously-unpublished 4-panel gag comics. The English comic series (simple titled Tenchi Muyo) lasted for 6 issues. Not sure where you could find them all together. Individually, your best bet for any of these is Amazon or eBay. All of them are long OOP, so while some volumes/issues can still be found relatively cheap, others are very rare (not to mention expensive). You may also have some luck at a local used book store if there’s one in your area.

- in reply to: Tenchicast! No Need for A Tenchi Muyo Podcast
I like the idea of a “Tenchi on Toonami” podcast. I feel like there would be plenty to talk about for not only the past especially, but also the future since the Toonami crew has specifically stated they’d be open to showing the movies in the future. I think the Photon/El-Hazard idea is good too. There would be plenty to talk about since they’ve barely been discussed in any previous podcast, and many are likely not even aware of the connections between them and Tenchi.

From episode 12: Gamilon Dude: “It’s foolproof Leader Desslok.”
Desslok: “HAHAHAHA. Thats Good! HAHAHAHA.
Desslok: *quickly goes straight-faced* They’ll be trapped.
😆 Back on the Argo:
Crewman 1: “Theres a tunnel satellite 19 megameters ahead”
Crewman 2: “Huh? What is that?
Crewman 3: “Its a tunnel satellite!”
Ya don’t say…
🙄 IQ-9: “A new broom sweeps clean, but so does an old one.”
Uh… yeah… ok?
Joking aside, this was a pretty cool episode. Once again, Desslok *almost* defeats the Star Force, but like usual their improvisation saves them at the last possible second. Desslok is pissed. The Star Force finally arrive at Telezart. Can’t wait to see what happens next
