Indeed the manga is awesome! Do you have a favorite story or character Lighthawk?

How many people have the same names? This is insane :?

    Let’s see……

    There are:

    Two Ryoko’s

Five Mitsuki’s (six if you count the one from Tenchi Universe)

    Two Kazuki’s

    Two Kiyone’s

    Two Misao’s

EDIT: Two Kagato’s (the one from OVA1 and the little girl version from OVA3. Thanks for the catch Nobuyuki)

Two Rea’s (Nobuyuki’s second wife from OVA3 and a character from WoG)

I’ve surely missed at least one so lets wait for JG or Nobuyuki :Cheeks: to fill in the gaps

Ah!chucklocker you certainly have found some rather cool stuff there.

I love the opening shot of the Yamato emerging from the ocean.

ML, the launch scene is always one of the greatest highlights of each season and movie of Yamato. It is the equivalent of the “Enterprise leaving space-dock” sequences from the Star Trek movies: the combination of dynamic imagery and exciting music always makes it a magnificent sight!

    Here are some prime examples!:

In short, every Yamato fans favorite words are “Yamato hasshin!”

chucklocker , I’ve read most of the manga :> I used to get like, 30 books a week from the library back in elementary and middle school, and you can bet I picked up the Tenchi they had XD Honestly, my favorites are the little fan club letters at the end of Sasami stories lol! I love them, they are so cute!! :D What is your favorite? :>

That’s really cool that your library had them! I like the fan club letters as well. My favorite stories would have to be the one with Ayeka’s pet (so sad 😥 ), the one with the warrior from Ryoko’s past who guards the “nameless” juraian tree, and the whole Yume arc. For the most part I tend to prefer the shorter, more intimate/funny stories over the longer arcs. That being said, my favorite new characters are ones like Minagi and Yume that are introduced in the longer, more “epic” arcs, but show up later in the cuter stories. I think it adds depth to their characters.

    Is HSotD any good? :|

I’ve been on the fence about getting and watching it.Not much of a zombie fan.

Well I personally loved the first 3-4 eps of it. It was pure, insane, nonstop zombie killing madness with a heaping helping of over the top fan-service on the side :Cheeks:

Unfortunately after about ep 5 it turned into a more teen drama centered slice of life story (albeit slice of post-apocalyptic life 😆 ) and without the mad, bloody violence, the fan-service just became annoying. If you like the drama/romance/fan-service genre then this is a decent anime, but if you’re like me and enjoy good old plain, uncomplicated, over the top action then stop after the first 3-4 eps.

In the OVA continuity Tenchi’s mother is named Kiyone Masaki. The last episode deals with the details of her death.

James Bond: Golden Eye for the N64. This was the end all be all of fps games as far as I was concerned!

An honorable mention goes to James Bond: The World is Not Enough, and Duke Nukem 64 (both on the N64).
