Thanks to the new season, I’m currently watching far more than usual: Ghost in the Shell Arise, Stella Women’s Academy C3, Hataraku Maou-sama (The Devil Is a Part Timer), Nekomonogatari Season 2 (White), and Valvrave and Gargantia (both finished but unwatched).

Cowboy Bebop isn’t really a western, it’s a crime show. Trigun and Outlaw Star definitely are. I miss them being on TV.

You could make up a pretty good old-school anime channel with shows that used to be on Toonami and the Sci-Fi channel (I refuse do call it Syfy; it’s too much like the name of an STD).

Silver Spoon, Kimi no Iru Machi, and Coppelion.

And I really wish some scanslation group would pick up Coppelion. Whoever was doing it dropped it about a sixth of the way through.

Hmm . . . currently Red Data Girl, Valvrave, Gargantia on the Verduous Planet, and Space Brothers. And I just rewatched Stellvia of the Universe for the umpteenth time.

I agree that it’s a part of the Tenchiverse, but not specifically the series, any more than Seikishi Monogatari is actually a part of the series. Well, maybe . . .

But I’m only including the OAV’s, Universe, and (bleah) Tokyo and not even the Mihoshi Special or the Pretty Sami series, and they’re very directly involved.

Thanks. I need to get back to more of the Tenchi sites again. I’ve been away long enough to lose track of what’s out there.

Yeah. You can see a lot of Miyazaki’s influence at Pixar and Ilion Animation, the Spanish studio that did Planet 51. It’s a shame that Miyazaki’s age seems to be keeping him from doing the depth of films that he used to make. He’s not just a great animation director, he’s a great director, period.

Any word anywhere about Kajishima’s next project?

Well, I was 11 then. 😉 And I’m usually the senior citizen of any anime or manga group.
