Give me Chosin-mode Tsunami, Washu, and Tokimi as magical girls… and Ramia just to round-out a nice quartet. ^^V - April 7, 2012 at 6:55 PM

From my reading of this chapter, the plot continues in much the same vein, having a lot of situation comedy surrounding Ryoko and Ayeka prodding for information, and Washu meddling for the lulz. I noticed that Future Kiyone’s temper seemed noticeably shorter this chapter. Perhaps it was all the annoyance from Ryoko and Ayeka, but it seemed rather extreme for her to lash out physically at Ryoko. Similarly, she called to herself when she got instantly drunk from Washu’s liquor. Knowing some rumors about what “Evil Kiyone” is makes me wonder about these two events and how long before true colors are shown. explosive nosebleed, EVERYWHERE! o.o;Overall, the mechanics have improved over the previous two chapters, though it was a little jarring when the chapter jumped locations or times. Using some transitions like “meanwhile”, “elsewhere”, or “later” would be helpful when shifting the focus of the action. ^^v I’m also a fan of using asterisks (*) or x’s to denote major shifts in location, time, or focus. ^.^

I too like the Unnamed Tree arc from NNFT #9, and particularly enjoyed the character of Ibara. I always likened him to “adult Tenchi”, particularly as I read this before I saw
TM!iL2. He also had a vibe much akin to the knights from Universe, which might have added to that feeling. Since the story is short, it could easily be an OVA or movie pretty easily. This is probably a clear option, but the Yume/Bizen arc from NNFT #4-6 would make a season story arc very easily. ^^V It has a large cast of characters and draws from every character at some stage. It also highlights Minagi, which is always welcome. However, as such, Minagi’s introductory arc would have to animated first.
For another stand-alone arc or movie, I vote for Garyu’s appearance in NNFT #11-12. This one highlights Ayeka’s relationship with both Tenchi and Ryoko, which I believe isn’t as prominent in the anime as Ryoko’s side. Also, you get to see Tenchi quite angry with the wings.

😆 I like the part where the date is interrupted by thieves. Yes, she mad.

I’ve loved both of Okuda’s two runs, No Need for Tenchi!and All-New Tenchi Muyo!. ^^v There are several good short stories scattered throughout the two productions, but here area couple that I’ve always kept close to my heart. - 1) Minagi’s introductory arc (NNfT #1-2): the very first story. ^-^
2) Yume and the Shima Brothers (NNfT #4-6): ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWA! m/
3) Ibara, lost guardian of the Nameless Tree (NNfT #9): Proto-Tenchi, the AWESOME. m/
4) Misaki and Funaho visit Earth (NNfT #10): so many touching mother/daughter scenes. T_T
5) Garyu kidnaps Ayeka and brainwashes her (NNfT #11-12): Tenchi vs Ayeka! Go!
6) The last story in the first run (NNfT #12): Tenchi==BADASS! ^o^
7) Dark Washu and Tama (ANTM #3-4): Battles + Minagi returns!
I really like the content in ANTM #10, but I have had trouble acquiring #9. This I will remedy. >< Another visual interpretation of the series I’ve enjoyed was the short-lived Pioneer comics from the U.S.
Tenchireceived a six issue comic series with American art and original plot, based on Universe. The highlights include Nagi and Ken-Ohki appearing, as well as Ryoko being fused into a composite being named “Inferno”. Oh, and Mihoshi and Kiyone get fused into one body for a little while two. It wasn’t near the quality of Okuda’s manga, but it was entertaining. ^^v Scans exist on the OVA Ultimate encyclopedia DVD, though not very readable. I’ve found higher resolution scans online, years ago. - March 24, 2012 at 6:52 PM

Finally, I have read the first two chapters of Kiyoka’s Tenchi Muyo! in Love 3. I apologize for the supreme delay in doing so, as well as my failure to produce Evil Kiyone and Dark Ayeka fan art. The first chapter seemed a bit cryptic during an initial reading.
Overall the chapter read like aIt wasn’t until the end of chapter that I was certain that this was set inUniversecontinuity some time after TM!iL1. During the reading, I humored the idea that “Future Kiyone” might be from Universecontinuity and mistakenly dropped into the OVA continuity. Considering the date of publish, I considered the possibility she might run across Noike and do something about her… Universescript with plenty of situation comedy between Ryoko, Ayeka, and Sasami, which goes pretty well. ^^v Chapter 2 continues a lot of that comedy.
Though the plot itself is not progressed much, a few hints of overarching ideas seem to be mentioned,It was amusing to imagine Future Kiyone running from Washu in a “Tex Avery”-like chase. ^^vnamely Tenchi’s exams, perhaps college entrance, and the necessity of repair to the spacetime controller. Arguably, Washu could be lying to stall Future Kiyone. The grammar seemed to need some work, though I believe Chapter 2 was better in that respect than Chapter 1. Some of that might be explained through the differences in English between the U.K. and the U.S. I’m curious to see where this leads as little has been divulged in these two chapters. I have yet to see this “Evil Kiyone” for whom the author is so known. I was mildly disappointed by that and hope this will change in future chapters. ^_-

Thanks for the comments. ^^V I hope you enjoy what preceded it as well. Yes, something very dark did indeed happen that broke the peace.
😈 You can probably see why I had interest in your Evil Kiyone and the similarity to my Dark Ayeka. ^_-I also shift some of the thanks to my editor. ^^v She keeps me in line when I slip up. ^-^;
As to your
Tenchi Muyo! in Love 3, I’ve slated some time to read it on Saturday. ^^v
