    I have copies of both the OVA and Universe books, and I believe the Guardians of Order also put out a Shin book as well.

    The OVA book is full color with lots of details and analysis of the world and characters of Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki prior to OVA3. It has complete rules on running a game and building characters, as well as character builds for the main cast in the Guardians of Order “Big Eyes Small Mouth” (BESM) RPG system. This is distinct from the d20 system used by Wizards of the Coast (i.e. D&D) products. The text also has two sample adventures as examples to show how the game would progress.

    The Universe book is grayscale, but likewise has lots of details and analysis for the TV series Tenchi Muyo! prior to TM!iL. Unlike the OVA book, it is not a stand-alone, but rather an add-on to the base rules found in the OVA book. The character builds in the Universe book also reflect the portrayal of the TV series, and even does comparison with their OVA counterparts where appropriate. In the GM’s chapter, there is a section devoted to mixing OVA and TV elements, as well as two sample adventures like the OVA book.

    I haven’t seen the Shin book, but I’m assuming it’s similar to the Universe book, an add-on rather than a stand-alone.

    I’ve rolled-up two original characters and their gear back when I first got the OVA book, and have used both as references as I’ve written my fan fiction. I also own a copy of BESM d20, which is a conversion of the BESM system into the more conventional d20 system. I had begun a project to convert the TV series characters in to d20, but this was stymied by work. ^^; I do have character sheets for Mihoshi and Kiyone by doing this d20 conversion somewhere on my computer. <.<;

    Sadly, as much as I’ve played d20 systems, I have not had the opportunity to play BESM, let alone a Tenchi campaign. I do recommend both books for any fan fiction author who is looking for accuracy and detail in their writing. ^^v

    That was very good. ^_^v I loved the references to other science fiction, like Quantum Leap and Hitchhiker’s, but I think it’s the fourth-wall being wrecked at the end that took the cake for me. Well-played, Mitsuki Lover. Well-played. ^.^

    This sounds like an interesting alternate/fusion timeline. From what I recall, most of cosmic DBZ is wrapped up in the Freeza and Buu arcs, and even the cosmic side of Buu is mainly in flashbacks and the Kais. I’d be interested to see how you’ve wrapped the Jurai Empire, Galactic Union, and the other existing DBZ entities together into some balance. How would the goddesses and the Kais get along? ^^v

    From your description, this story seems to follow the general formula of Tenchi Universe, though your plans for Makibi Kiyone don’t seem to follow that mold. When will this be available for consumption? ^^

    Erm.. “The Last Action Hero”? What’s that?

    Last Action Hero is a John McTiernan action film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. It tells of a boy who receives a magical ticket that allows him to enter his favorite action film. Its story is starkly similar to the tale you’re trying to tell with Elliot and Shayne.

    Ok we need an animated Okuda manga… end of story.

    I count myself as a lesser tenchi fan that most anyone else here, but that was some great stuff.

    About the only thing lacking in it was needed more Kiyone…

    Most of the stuff we’ve been talking about in the podcasts that we wanted… it’s been done already in there….

    Get to readin peoples.

    Glad you think so, JG. ^^v Chuck, you have another convert. ^.^v

    Very custom and very nsfw

    Looks like someone took all of Sseanboy’s work and made a wallpaper. ^^;

    Here’s a wallpaper I made for Punistation’s birthday ages ago.

    As some of you know, she liked the Ryoko/Ayeka pairing. ^^;

    And then, here’s the one I made for my fiction series. ^^;

    Reading these segments, I find the story fairly coherent, though with a few odd questions about it. I’ve detailed these in my FF.net reviews and posts in other threads. I’m currently left wondering what the endgame of this chain of events will be.

    Reading this segment, I wonder at Washu’s purpose in announcing Elliot’s existence to the household. Is she looking for help with him, or just explaining her long absence? Also, what is with his self-conversations? I’m assuming this too will be answered in due course.

    A bit of annoyance here was the lack of transition words like “meanwhile” or “elsewhere”. The change from Elliot’s situation to the household-at-large was a bit jarring, particularly since they seem to be concurrent.
