Well Nozoimi is getting ready for the latest poll at Rightstuf by asking:which series would you like to see Nozoimi do next? I put in my two cents worth by saying Kimagure Orange Road.

I really don’t know if Tenchi Moyu was the original harem comedy or not,but what I do know is that it did give us the harem comedy archtypes that everyone else has copied.
Just like Sailor Moon was neither the original Magic Girl Show(that was Sally The Witch)
nor the first fighter Magic Girl Show(Cutey Honeyanyone?) it still was the one that
everyone after it copied because it was the one that produced all the archtypes that later shows would use.
So the important thing isn’t whether or not Tenchi was the first but the fact that it was the one that introduced all the important archtypes that others would copy.
And this in the end is the most important impact that Tenchi has had on anime.
(Of course I am not forgetting all the memorable characters and the fact that it did give us
Orikasa Ai and Yokoyama Chisa as well as Petrea Burchard.)
Though she’s totally different personalitywise in PGSM from her usual goofy self in both the manga and anime.Lot more of the serious mature Minako in PGSM.
