Since he is a higher dimensional being, like the three choushin, I would imagine his maximum output should exceed the limitations of earth’s dimension too. If you recall, Tsunami only generated ten wings because any higher and earth’s dimension would begin to tear apart, much like it began to when Tenchi-kami awoke.
That said, Tenchi was originally limited to
justthree wings because he saw Ryuoh generate three wings. We learn to walk & talk by emulating those around us, do we not? On a subconscious level, his other half picked three wings because that is what he was already familiar with. After his subconscious self had awoken, the limitation was removed. http://i40.tinypic.com/2qlwy2c.jpg" /> http://i42.tinypic.com/27zm068.jpg" /> However, likely due to his still limited understanding of his full power Tenchi opted to use six wings to block the shot Chobimaru fired at earth [OVA3 EP7]. At which point his physical body was once more destroyed. Even then, one could rationalize his choice to use six wings was based on Tenchi’s experience because Z was capable of generating five wings and it stands to reason that something man created should be less powerful than a demi-god. So increasing the maximum count by just one should have been enough.
Should have.http://i39.tinypic.com/2m5bgqb.jpg" /> One could also make a remark, that each wing represents a girl in his harem and him in the center…

I believe it is a combination of existing art pieces and newly created ones, at the end of the clip a couple sketches of the original pieces are even shown. Also of note is Reia in her seikishi pilot suit, which is inspired by the sketches Kajishima included in Sekishi Ban 10.8 & 10.12. - August 25, 2013 at 5:39 PM

Also in the case of Geminar, it is important to remember Kajishima wrote the bulk of it back in 1999, long before titles like Code Geass & Gundam 00 existed. However, even he admits that he went back and updated the character designs before AIC finally approved Geminar, as be felt the designs had aged too much. That being the case, while redesigning the characters of Geminar, I think it is natural that Kajishima would be inspired by the latest titles currently airing. - August 25, 2013 at 12:50 AM

I’ll agree with you that Chiaia is a dead ringer for Kallen, from her character design to her to the personality. But the rest, I just don’t see it. Personally I feel you’re grasping way too hard. That said, to me Yukine looks like Soma Peiris, from Gundam 00, or at least the Soma Peiris found in a number of doujin covers. I don’t remember enough of Double-O to comment on how well they match up in the anime itself.

Z being reverted to an infantile state was more of a ruse, as the extended scene showed that he was returned to his own world, which had the flow of time reverted to before its inhabitants retaliated against Tokimi. That way Z could grow up normally and Tokimi could try watching over him like her sisters were doing with Tenchi.
http://i39.tinypic.com/24es51v.jpg" /> That said, Kajishima made mention of toying with the possibility that Z’s mother was in love with Nobuyuki. Which is a really mind-blower, but in a scifi series where mass scale dimensional manipulation is possible, there’s not many rules which cannot be broken or manipulated. If Kajishima went that way, I would imagine the lady who gave birth to Z could have been cloned and the original sent to earth. Then at some point she’d meet Nobuyuki and become his lover, leading to the birth to Kenshi. So the Z born elsewhere would likely lose his natural abilities, as his cloned mother would not continue to possess whatever unique attribute that spawned his abilities. I say that only because Z wanted to kill Tenchi so he could be recreated without his gift & the goddesses would be forced to look for another pawn.

http://i43.tinypic.com/15frtkx.jpg" /> Notice how much Tenchi’s original little brother looks like a much younger Z? That’s no coincidence. In fact even the final Kenshi has an element or two borrowed from his original plans, as Kenshi’s brows match that of Z’s mother.

shadowsfall0 wrote:The question still bugs me on to how he is an artificial being just like yours, Hero, but I haven’t done the homework on it, so my best guess is that it was Rhea who was an artificial being(still not to sure even on that) but as stated, its the easiest way of looking at it, as well as making the most sense of it.
Reia Masaki is one of the three dolls created in Geminar to defeat Gaia. After Gaia defeated, but not destroyed, the 3 dolls were reverted to infantile states. Thou it is not clear at what point in time Reia was sent from Geminar, she was sent to earth to produce a child capable of destroying Gaia. The ‘Reia’ in Isekai is actually Neizai concealing her identity from Babalun, whom had one of the core crystals injected into him. At the end of Isekai the one posing as Reia says a cryptic message to Kenshi about ‘the other Reia’ being responsible for him being there and earlier in the series addresses herself as ‘Reia Second’.
That said, as mentioned, Reia Masaki was sent to earth and through dumb luck or intervention by the goddesses ended up at one of the smaller earth clan Masaki households, whom took her in. The rest of her story is not that hard to figure out. Hints about her past have been dropped in typical Kajishima style, through his doujins.
As for Kenshi, he was breed for a specific task and that was handing Gaia it’s ass. Aside from being a child born specifically to create a being stronger than possible in Geminar, he was taken care of by Tenchi’s harem. Remember when Washu whipped up that ‘specialized’ baby formula for Taro? Well she did the same thing with Kenshi, Yosho trained him like he did Tenchi and everyone else more/less worked him like a dog. You’ve gotta be hard as nails to survive in that household.
Another detail about Kenshi is that in Kajishima’s very early stages of designing Isekai, Kenshi was originally planned to be connected to Z. However this was scrapped because of how long it took til Isekai was finally approved to be animated. That still does not mean some of that planned background may resurface thou, as it is possible that Kenshi may turn out to be a demi-god capable of generating LHWs like Z was. If Isekai ever gets a second season… Damned AIC.

Not to keep shooting down what you’re bringing up, but it doesn’t look like Kuroda has done anything on his own in regards to Tenchi. Kuroda has been screenplay for the majority of the OVA line OVA2 onwards, but not an actual content creator himself, which is the emphasis on these, his style at best would just be a reflection of Kajishima’s and somewhat redundant to add, at least in my opinion.
While it is true that Kuroda was just the co-author of OVA2/OVA3/GXP/101/TTM/GXPGaiden, Kuroda also adapted
to lightnovel and wrote a set of lightnovels aboutPhoton . So he has created his own Tenchi related content, just that his own material is just not about the core series. Which is why I bought him up, while talking about Pretty Sammy.Pretty Sammy- August 16, 2013 at 1:22 AM

For the longest time I had seen that and thought it was a rare signed piece that someone had scanned and had been spread all across the net in the early days, but upon looking for a CAV copy of Tenchi the Movie, found the boxset, and said insert was among the pictures. It’s not limited to just the Limited Edition laserdisc, the Special Edition DVD came with it printed on the chapter insert.
