I wasn’t thinking about anything other than the Japanese myself. I also was thinking of a blown out

series and not just a movie.

A usual sentai I think is about around 40 to 50 in a season, least that was the way of power rangers. However best to keep it at the now standard 24-26 ep in a season if they do make one.

If only it was as easy to explain away like J.J.Abram’s hatred for Star Trek, but unfortunately in this case it’s the original creator.

The problem with OVA 3 was Kajishima wanted to move on and so he did a shabby job of it in order to satisfy everyone as quickly as he could.

I was simply trying to be honest as to why I voted the way I did and why I’ve changed my mind on the subject. In all practicality I don’t see Same Sex Marriage threatening Traditional Marriage in any way.

I think though it is funny that the people who keep arguing for limited government in everything else

some how are the ones who want to regulate marriage.

You’re not trying to attack others beliefs or force them upon others, plus you have an open mind so it’s cool. Era and people change over time, you and Scotus are an example of change.

Actually considering everything it wouldn’t surprise me if the Japanese had done a live action

Tenchi. The surprising thing would be that they hadn’t thought of it before.

Tried to find a live action anything in japan, didn’t find one. There is a lot of fan acting at conventions on youtube but so far there is only talks on who would be a good actors. However a point was brought up while searching: Can it be adapted to Live Action? and easy answer would be yes, if we were talking about sets, costumes, and props. It’s the writing and acting: in anime, people cry, make high pitched noises, and make faces randomly. In Japan that is normal, especially in kids hero shows, but if you wanted a serious story arc with strong emotional feels for audiences, then you need to change the writing dramatically.

From my view, a live action script would need to be as mature as the In Love 2 Movie, in the case you want seriousness from it. Though, if you want random wacky adventures then the scripting would be that of an average sentai, it would natural for Tenchi in a way for all of its antics and occurrences. However I don’t watch Japanese hero shows or any other show in japan so I wouldn’t know what better to compare or structure Tenchi to for a live action.

Technically it might be GXP where they lost faith. OVA 3 just drove the nail straight through the skull.

Yeah, but OVA 3 was suppose to be the continuation of the awesome series from OVA 1&2. Then we saw it, and got a lot things we didn’t like (hint: Noike) and it is considered canon to the story. That’s GXP, however we anticipated OVA 3 for a long time, and then we get a multiverse and goddess plot device that doesn’t get explained well. Which is now what we are discussing to make it make sense.

Tenchi content comes in, opinions put out, the one thing that is constant, Tenchi after all these years is almost impossible to forget. There is going to be a content whether finally translated novels and doujins, or new Tenchi series, no can is going to forget. Negishi didn’t, and he made an alternate ending to In Love, the city of Takahashi didn’t and we got Ai, we didn’t and we’re still talking about it. We are going to get new stuff and talk about or not, but we are here and doing what we are doing when we first got here.

A hope is that something like crowd funded project like Ai was ( I thnk), happens again and we get to talk about it change the pace again.
