I see your point in that when I was first a Tenchi fan (via Toonami) I hadn’t heard of Pretty Sammy either (well, save for “Time & Space” Adventures episode of Universe), but I think chuck makes a good point about hitting every series, plus the fun part about spin-offs in general–especially Pretty Sammy–is they’re fellow Tenchi fans out there, obviously have some similar interests, but may come from different anime backgrounds as well. As Tenchi as a brand increased in popularity and diversified, certain series really struck particular chords with different fans of differing genres (example, Dual–> mech, Pretty Sammy–>Magical Girl, etc.)
