Mitts, you strike me as Universe Kiyone (I stipulate “Universe” because TiT Kiyone, for example…weeell…she loses focus of the important things a bit for her career ambitions, if you ask me). Kind and level-headed, but down-to-business when you need to be. Also, in reference to earlier post(s), I don’t know of a place where there’s a Tenchi character quiz. Sounds like something that could be on fb or something though, doesn’t it?

Sorry Lighthawk, I haven’t been on cosplay.com much, but as I’m looking at it here, it looks like at the top there is a “Search” tab. Hover over that, and you can search by member or by costume (the costume should likely be tagged by the uploader with the character
andthe series). Note: you might have to be registered to view photos.
Also,Z-man:DevART profile updated, should be good to go (stressed the stipulation “tentative” as well). - January 13, 2013 at 6:08 AM

YAY! Thanks for continuously posting folks, these are some great amv’s! It’s fun to share work from our very own members, isn’t it, chuck? (Way to go, Magee!)
Thanks Z-man, any Tenchi works from your dualfan buddies is always appreciated
Good choices also, Makoto. The Cascada Ryoko amv is by an uploader known as “ShadowCabbit” and fun fact: once upon a time, they started on a Tenchi abridged series of their own shortly after TLF (didn’t last, however). The editor (mcfrey) has continued to make good Tenchi amv’s however, such as this one.
I also fondly remember “Tenchi Girls Just Wanna’ Have Fun” though I don’t think it’s been posted beforehand. So thanks again Makoto!

[/BBvideo]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PdbQVx9kEA Here’s one I should have been aware of a long time ago, but sadly (or rather, I should say, fortunately because I found it) I’ve just now stumbled across it. It’s by a longtime friend of mine and even longer amv-er KiyoneMihoshiFan. He’s uploaded more Tenchi AMV’s than you can count with your fingers and toes combined, for a number of years, and as if that isn’t impressive enough…he’s been so consistent. Having done amv’s for a few years myself and entered a contest or two here and there, sometimes it’s easy to fall into the trap of stressing over them or turning what should be a fun activity into “work” or even changing your style to try to appeal to judges/viewers. KMF, however, has kept his recognizable style, a trait which in my own undertakings I’ve found emulatable. Watching KMF’s work again recently–whether it’s his newest works or some of his first, they still have this one enduring quality above all others–reminded me why I started making/viewing Tenchi amv’s in the first place: they’re just so much fun!
*EDIT–Thank you also, Ryoko SP, sorry I missed you there (same goes for anyone else)
those are some classics you posted, by the likes of well-known Tenchi amv pioneers such as samuraizylle and goldentsunami. - January 11, 2013 at 8:22 PM

Sorry I’m not a fellow fan chuck (I need to watch that one, so maybe soon I will be!) I like abridging (sigh, yes, I’ve abridged before, a while ago) but I kind of ‘gave up’ chiefly because fighting the copyright shhhtuff is just too much work/grief for too little payoff. Though, perhaps an older, lesser-known series like Star Blazers would have a better shot (that’s one of the reasons TLF went with Tenchi and why, up until recently, they’ve been more or less “safe”).
So, chuck…given the fact that I’m sadly not a fan (thus you’d have to write the material) and with my time-management in general, episodes would be few and far between,
aaaandso I can avoid all the “noise” (if there is any) associated with 3rd-party yt uploading “fun” I think you’d have to have a channel to upload to, but if you did want to pursue your pipedream, and needed help with editing/voice over…I’m in 😎 - January 11, 2013 at 7:59 PM

Good thread! I do enjoy good abridging. Fun fact with TLF…Tenchi is not the only series they abridged. Sadly, however, like with their Tenchi series as of late, these other creations were repeatedly taken down, accounts suspended, etc. so idk as of this moment how much of their other work is still up. I really enjoyed their FMAB Abridged series–not only was it the best, imo, but it was also the first, which is quite a title considering how many FMA/FMAB attempts there have been.
Don’t have links for this one, because, sadly, after several account deletions and even re-vamping/restarting the entire series, it’s gone the way of the dinosaurs, and frankly, I can’t blame TLF for not going through all the effort to make more and reupload
yet againonly to have it taken down and be hit with cease-and-desist orders. - January 11, 2013 at 7:28 PM

JGZinv wrote:Who if you have any gusto left, please try to touch base with any of those we contacted in the campaign to spread the word about the panel….
Gotcha Z-man (weren’t too many that actually responded to begin with, so I’ve got plenty in my gusto reserves).
Also, at some point would you like an announcement on DevArt updating when the panel is? (I realize our time slot may be tentative at this point, so wouldn’t want to do it too soon). Or maybe at least an FYI that the panel is on/Ohayocon is this month for any stragglers.
Also, if there’s anything else you want me to do, let me know, you guys have worked so hard.
