– Current top 5 requested shows:
1. Attack on Titan
2. DBZ
3. Kill La Kill
4. Fairy Tail
5. Gundam
KLK gets bumped up to #3 and Gundam snags the #5 spot from Toriko.
– Brotherhood “will be sticking around for awhile”, but may not be rerun immediately.
– They’re considering having live Toonami tweets scroll across the bottom of the screen, but it’s not something they’ve been able to work out yet.
– They decided to air FMA: Conqueror of Shamballa instead of Sacred Star of Milos because they simply liked the older movie better.
– The process for making Toonami content (reviews, promos, etc.):
“We’ll plan it out a few weeks in advance (ideally) someone will write a script. We’ll start the edit. Read Steve and Dana, finish the edit, mix it, and turn it in.”
– Back in the CN days, MAR was pulled due to low ratings.
– I thought this question was significant, so I opted to post it in full instead of summarizing the answer.
Q: Will toonami ever bring back its original list of shows like the original Sailor Moon, Outlaw Star, or Tenchi Muyo?
A: Probably not, sorry. Toonami is about moving forward. We love all of those shows and who knows, we may show them again, but we’re more interested in introducing new things. And ratings have proven that’s the right approach for us, generally!
