    I know she’s a super-popular seiyuu and all, but looking through that list I honestly don’t think I’ve actually heard any of her performances in Japanese, except maybe the few episodes I actually made it through in my aborted attempt at watching Eva subbed years ago. I’ve seen plenty of those shows in English though… :?

    I see Abenobashi, but I see no mention of AMG. Its surprising how much she sounds more like Yoko Ishida (who I just remembered is the AMG singer I was talking about) in that song specifically. She sounds different in the Sorcerer Hunters song.

    In addition to what chuck said, they’re also all about Osaka, where the story takes place (and where GAINAX was founded).

    I never quite understood their picture selection though. I don’t know what significance any of those images have to the series. Theres probably some super-obvious reason that I’m just missing :?. Then again, this is Abenobashi we’re talking about, so maybe not…

    Its means they’re currently working on a short pilot film in an effort to gain sponsors to fund a full-length feature.

    A streaming thread might be nice. Many of the Tenchi shows (and Tenchiverse shows, like El-Hazard) are streaming on Hulu, Youtube, and/or FUNimation.com. But they sometimes get cycled through, so having an up-to-date list of whats currently available could be helpful, especially to new members who don’t already own the DVDs.

    If you guys think that’s a good idea I’d be willing to start (and keep up with) such a thread myself.

    Just finished Episode 7. Man, those Marines are total pigs bth_images23

    Also, that was a crazy-huge amount of mines they tried to drop on those space subs 😮

    I also found it kinda odd how serious Venture was about handling the message they received form Telezart himself, and then the other guy (who usually does the communications) randomly starts crying for a few seconds when they lose the signal.

    Something else weird I noticed. Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t they only have about 3 Astro-fighters? They sure had a whole lot in this episode :?
