Damn, the fanservice is realin these designs… *sigh* The only two of these I like are 7 & 8 (not that I know anything at all about the game itself, lol). Oh well, thanks for the update Wisps, I was glad to support your designs! - September 7, 2014 at 4:00 AM

I largely agree with you, Snow. I haven’t altogether liked SM: Crystal so far, but I enjoyed this episode more than the previous ones. Mako-chan kicking huge amounts of ass certainly made for a satisfying conclusion, and I thought the pacing and animation also improved noticeably this episode. I’m still reserving final judgement for when the whole gang is assembled, but I think today’s ep was a step in the right direction! Now it’s onward to Minako! http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120909222013/winx/images/7/73/Sailor-Venus-Mina-Aino072.jpg " /> - September 6, 2014 at 4:44 AM

Welcome to Tenchiforum, KiyoneMihoshiFan! Few things in the world make me happier than when a fellow Kiyone fan joins up, so you are most welcome in my book! I’ve been watching your AMV’s for several years now, and it’s a true joy to finally meet you here! I hope you thoroughly enjoy your time here, and if there’s anything you ever need feel free to ask! In the meantime, please make yourself a home! I hope to see you around the boards! - September 5, 2014 at 4:22 AM

Yay Sailor Jupiter! Like I said over in the Sailor Moon thread, Jupiter was my favorite scout back in the day, and she still holds a special place in my heart! She’s tough, she’s sensitive, and she’s tall! http://www.sailorlunaticas.com/Galerias/Sailor-Jupiter/Sailor-Jupiter-Lita-Kino019.jpg " /> - September 3, 2014 at 2:34 AM

The only two that really stick out to me (besides Ai Tenchi Muyo! obviously,
😆 ) are Parasyte, the one about the alien invasion, and Ronia the Robber’s Daughter, the one by studio Ghibli!- September 2, 2014 at 11:38 PM

Great idea for a thread, snow! I am definitely a fan of the Magical Girl genre, although I haven’t seen too much of it tbh. My obvious favorite of the bunch is definitely Sailor Moon. It was one of the very first anime I watched as a kid, and it was one of the first I went back and re-watched when I got back into anime. Needless to say, it only became even closer to my heart! Of all the Magical Girl shows I’ve seen, hell of all the anime I’ve seen, it probably had the best chemistry among the main cast of characters. I loved the interactions, often violent and often tender, between all the girls. It really felt like you got to know this group of friends really well by the end of the series, and every episode had at least one really great moment for one or more of them.
I recently watched Madoka Magica, and I really enjoyed it too! I liked the emphasis on the themes of sacrifice and futility, and especially the fantastic visual feel of the show! The Dada-esque designs of the witches and labyrinths really helped set the creepy tone of the show.

I don’t have all that much exposure to mecha genre as a whole, sadly, although with the help of the more mecha-minded among us here I am slowly getting there Anyway, other than the two obvious ones, my favorite mecha series is definitely… http://www.slashattack.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/gunbuster4.png " /> Gunbuster!
Awesome design, plus great use of hard science results in this fantastic series about humanity’s struggle for survival in the era of faster than light travel. Gurren Lagann (one of my other favorite mecha series, btw) may have the biggest scale of all, but Gunbuster is the series that first introduced mind boggling hugeness into the genre, with kilometer long ships, planet sized weapons, and enemy fleets numbering in the billions!

http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff178/chucklocker/Linked%20Images/20140824_205046_zpsr0iecah0.jpg" /> I recently had the pleasure of opening this beauty for the purpose of introducing a friend to sake. At $22, this is certainly the most expensive sake I’ve ever bought, but it was worth the price. Like most sakes, this one has a very fruity taste to it, and it is very smooth. This is the first sake I’ve bought that I’ve noticed tastes distinctly better chilled than at room temperature, which is interesting as there usually isn’t much of a difference. All in all, a very good sake, especially if you’re saving up for a party or something, as the extra volume is a nice plus. For a good intro/go-to sake I recommend something from the
line, or even better,Momokawa . Of course, for thegrealgood stuff you’re going to have to either import directly, which for residents of some of the more… overzealous… states can be a bit difficult, or go to a nice Japanese restaurant and sample their wares. For that purpose, here is a pic of the tasting notes for a sample flight I got at my favorite sushi place back home. (Sorry for the slight fuzziness of the pic. I probably should have taken it beforeconsuming the sake blush1 ).http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff178/chucklocker/Linked%20Images/20130815_201750_zpsf4cb8a64.jpg" /> Anyway, starting from left to right. The first was a “semi-filtered” sake, which means it had a cloudy look to it, and a creamier taste. It was probably the most unique sake I’ve ever had. The second was my favorite of the bunch (and my favorite sake to date!), and it had an incredible aroma that easily overpowered the others, and the taste was just as strong. I didn’t care too much for the third entry, mostly due to the caramel notes. Finally, the fourth sake was as its card says, “well rounded,” and “perfect.” It was like any normal sake, but… better
