    This what I have always understood from the literature of TM! Ryoko, through the power of her gems, has the ability to alter her surroundings to fit her needs or desires from places she has been to in the past. She really liked the hot springs/onsen the gang visited in ep. 4 so she recreated it back at the Masaki household. This is why it only appears in eps 5 and after.

    EDIT: This info comes from the 101 questions doujin Kajishima did some years ago if memory serves. I’m sure Nobuyuki could probably tell you which particular question number it was, but im operating off pure fallible human memory.

    First off: That is so awesome man! Her voice acting was one of the best, if not THE best parts of the show for me! I had no idea she was so excited about Tenchi. Thanks for keeping her and us up to date with each other, its phenomenal to have such a cool relationship with people who worked on our favorite shows! Maybe she would even be willing to do an interview with us, like Petrea did?

    Second off: Man, that shirt you’re wearing… I want one sooooo bad now! XD lol

    I agree with Nobuyuki entirely. Episode 7 is ALWAYS the “go to” episode for me when im in the mood for Tenchi. I simply love the sweet and cheerful dynamic of the Masaki household that pervades that story. After all, it was the first time we had ever seen the entire (OVA) cast living together under that one roof and it really set the bar for all future “slice of life” eps. Also, Washu’s crack at the end about “two wet fools who forgot to knock” puts me in stitches every time! 😆

    EDIT: Also, how could anyone forget about the infamous “nurse Washu” scene! XD

    Yeah I probably should have reported on all this when I first learned of it a couple days ago, but I was mainly trying to refine my comments to something a little more insightful than ZOMG STAR BLAZERS! Lol, but yeah it looks like we are getting closer every day to a western release of the 2199 series. My general impression of the video promo is that it looks more like a pitch vid to the western licensing companies rather than an actual promo vid for an imminent release. All the info given about how influential and loved the classic show was is clearly meant to tempt some company to pick it up, and the subtitles that say Argo while the Japanese audio is clearly saying Yamato (which you can be damn sure wont happen in an eventual release) is obviously meant to play on the nostalgia factor. I would give my left kidney to have heard the dub clip shown at AX, and would really like some clarification about something mentioned in a link above about a separate YAMATO 2199 dub. Are we getting two different dubs, one Star Blazers and one Yamato? bth_JurassicPark4News

    Anyway, the long corporate dance I spoke of a few months back seems to be moving along at a decent clip, so I will continue to have hope and wait for more info to come down the pipe!

    These three shows are pretty much the perfect trinity of anime space-westerns! My personal favorite is Trigun, followed by Outlaw Star, but all of them blew my mind when I first watched them.

    Just gave the cast a listen, and I think, audio wise, this is BY FAR the best sounding cast to date! Kudos to you Dagon for putting this together. The length was really brought down to a more manageable length, although I still think we should try and avoid these +1Hr casts whenever possible. I’m very much looking forward to the next one this saturday. Speaking of which, do we want to try and get a head count of who all wants in on this one? I know Wwwwwhhhhhoooo sometimes puts together a list of people who have confirmed that they will be in on it, and maybe we should resurrect that practice.

    P.S. Lol, Who, I didn’t realize how often I directly called out my disagreements with you in the cast until I actually listened to it! I just wanted you to know that I still agree with you 99/100 times on everything else! 😆
