  • You definitely have my respect for the amount of anime you’ve watched.

    1977 huh?

Back then I didn’t know what Anime was(I think it was still called Japanimation then).

I agree it’s always best when you can watch and listen to something in the original language. It’s always a lot more soawesome1 .

What’s your favorite 1970s anime(if you have any)?

I ask because I’m currently going through the 1973 version of Cutey Honey. iloveit1

Ah!…too bad the mask thing was a in reference to Code Name:Sailor V which made it so cool.

I’m going to wait for my birthday to order the DVDs( I can wait). In the meantime I’m thinking of getting a t shirt

or perhaps a throw blanket.Though I think I’ve been overcompensating because last time I didn’t get so much

SM and this time I want to get as much as possible.

Though right now I’m concentrating on finishing with getting Madoka(the DVDs for the movies 1 and 2 are

    finally out). soawesome1

We got a flat tire coming home from working in the country.Luckily there was a really good samaritan that helped us out.

After that I didn’t have to go anywhere to watch some fireworks at night. The city park is only a few blocks from

where we live and I could see some of the fireworks from my bedroom window.

thanks for the pics Chuck! soawesome1
Rozen Maiden also has a reboot called Rozen Maiden:Zuruckspulen that’s coming out this Fall or Winter on DVD.
Chibiusa doesn’t show up until either R or S (not sure which one). I’m looking forward for when

    the DVDs come out.

Was it anything like the manga? Did she have the Sailor V mask on when she first transformed?

Just by looking at it you can tell that there’s going to be some sort of ghost story element to When Marnie Was There. A bit chilling and bittersweet at the same time. But done in the usual Ghibli fashion. iloveit1
Hope your studies allow you the time to see the exhibit as it looks to be pretty cool.
Mental Floss had a list of Hollywood movies that were influenced or else ripped off from Anime. One of the last ones they mentioned was how Pacific Rim ripped off of several mecha series including Eva.Leading to the usual ‘Shinji-Is-A-Whiner comments. 😆 gendo1
In the interview at the end of volume 2 of the Silent Mobius manga there’s mention of work on a series

titled Silent Mobius Neos, would be interesting to see if it ever got off the ground and it be fun to see

    if they ever animated it.
