If I remember rightly wasn’t that pre-shadowed in the previous episode during the conflict with Kagato when Tenchi meets Tsunami for the first time and sees Sasami’s reflection?

I’m still curious to know how they hit upon the name Gunsmoke for the planet in Trigun. Does anyone know how they came up with the idea for the name?

I take it that’s the first Cardcaptor Sakura movie. Devilman sounds interesting.Already having Devil Lady it might be interesting to get the original.

Despite the differences between them they also work well together. - July 17, 2013 at 5:46 PM

The only reason I can think of her attacking Tenchi is that she’d been locked up all that time and had a grudge against Yosho and by extension his entire family. Also she did want to get the gems from Tenchi and Ryoko being Ryoko she wasn’t about to ask politely for them.
I think that at the end of episode 1 of OVA 1 she just figured that the best way of getting the gems was to
seduce instead of killing Tenchi which is why she changes tack and winds up in his bed instead of trying to take his head off.

It does transcend genre in a way doesn’t it? Trigun on the other hand is an out and out Western.I mean even the name of the planet it takes place on is
named GUNSMOKE.How obvious a Western can it be when the planet it takes place on has the same name as one of the most legendary Westerns in American tv history?
Which leaves the question open as to wheter or not it may have actually been targeted to a North American as opposed to Japanese audience all along.
I mean(uses Festus’ voice)”Mr.Dillon do you think them thar Jaypanese watch are show?”

Well you have to go with whatever happens to be avaible at the time, and I think that The Alternative World was the only one avaible at Rightstuf when I ordered. On the plus side:Inoue Kikou(aka Belldandy on AMG)as the teacher’s love interest/wife.

I was wondering when Team Washu was going to report in. - July 15, 2013 at 6:03 PM

But manly men use Old Spice! 😆 Seriously,I think Washu probably makes her own cleaning and hygenic supplies. It some how makes sense that she would.
As far as Tenchi with a stache goes:Only if Ryoko and Aeka allow him to have one!

I agree the problem would seem to be cultural in that the Western is at heart a very American genre. Though interesting enough it also seems to be a bit generational as well,as it doesn’t seem to be as popular with Millennials as it is with Boomers.
Though as the question has been raised,is Cowboy Bebop a Western or a Film Noir anime?
(I was going to say Crime, but then I think CB actually has more in common with classic film noir than it does with crime. For example Fay and Julia being two types of the femme fatale.I would have said simply noir
but then everyone would be confused and think I meant the anime series NOIR.)
