I think the fact that the girls are more Western than Japanese in a lot of things might have to do with
the fact that they’re living in a more Western orientated Japan than in the past. And AFAIG with
Michiru: as a concert classical musician who travels around the world, it makes sense that she
be into more Western hobbies.

It’s interesting to note how the same production people also worked on
