- in reply to: Happy Thanksgiving
Well guys, first and foremost. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! ^^ I have to say that honestly I am thankful for all you guys here at the forum. It truly is an awesome community that I am glad to have stumbled on when I rediscovered Tenchi nearly a full year ago, also. Since being on this forum, I’ve met a really awesome bunch of open-minded excellent positive people. I barely have that where I live and I just want to say, thank you all for making my day every day when I get on the forum and we chat it up. Also I thank you all for actually being an audience and supporting my goal in writing.
I’ve been going through some hard life stuff right now, but I’ve been pulling through, and I just want to thank my immediate family and best friends for their support and uplifting words during the hard times I’ve been going through. The forum has also helped in this regard.
I hope to stay an awesome member of the community and be a pleasure to talk to in the many days to come for you guys, and I eventually, when(and if) I ever become accomplished as an author, I’l thank both friends and family and always remember that it started here, as a college student in north Florida.
Enjoy your turkey, and other assortments of food! ^^ Or in my case, enjoy my blends of veggies and fruits.
Here’s to everyone acknowledged. Have a great Thanksgiving!

I always had a way of viewing it as the way a schoolgirl would act if she liked someone but was a more tough archetype. Ryoko has not had a lot of time to mature and get everything (Kagato keeping her imprisoned) so she doesn’t know what things are. For instance her line “Gas? What’s Gas?” She never learned how to act and such with people around and so she doesn’t exactly have a sure way as to express herself.
In schools, often the girl will bully the guy she likes a little bit. But take the kid and replace it with a powerful being and the bullying ascends to a bigger scale. So in a way I guess you could say that she was bullying him (except using powers) to kindof tease around since she already loves him. She only became truly hostile whenever the sword appeared and that is because of the memories it possesses.
Though, this is only what my theory is.

First off. HOLYASDFJKLADJDKJAODFA THAT IS AWESOME ! Second, I must say I would particularly speculate Akira; A: because it is one of my favorite anime movies, and B: A lot of toonami watchers would probably enjoy it immensely.
Tenchi Muyo in Love deserves to be broadcast as well, it played on Sci-Fi, why not Toonami?

In all honesty, I believe that a cast on OVA 1 and 2 would be preferably better. In general, most of the members here have the first 2 OVA’s known like the back of their hand(at least, as much knowledge as we can get without certain content not being available to us.) I just am not too sure as to what questions we could ask.
Doing a cast about El-Hazard/Photon would be excellent territory to cover, also. Many different inferences and questions of the ties and relations and parallels in El-Hazards case, can be made pretty easily.
Its about a 50/50 split for me in between the two, and I have no other ideas, myself.

No hate on kids stories, RS. It’s all good lol. I never read A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court, though I have heard many good things about it.

Dude, Dickens won me over in A Tale of Two Cities and David Copperfield But yeah, I never read Moby Dick, but have planned on eventually buying it to read and have as part of my growing collection. I tend ot enjoy American literature quite a bit(not the old 1700s diaries) Even some plays in the early 1900s such as Death of a Salesman and The Crucible. However, in being a novel thread I must say, The Princess of Mars is an AMAZING read. ^^

I wanted to get into the Star Wars extended series a bit more to see how expansive it could be. Also I never read NetForce, though I am a big fan of Tom Clancy’s work; Hunt for Red October in particular.
In terms of anime-related novelistic items I have only read into the Tenchi Manga, and some unofficial excerpts from the Code Geass Light novels.
For books dealing with more scientific pursuits I have to give it to Hawking on Black Hole theory, while not reading the official sources, his name often comes up when I go back to black-hole related sciences and many notes and paraphrasing from what he has written.
