Kiyone is the strongest of the characters, physically and mentally. Like the ideal of good cop, she would put her welfare 2nd to others in danger. She is the moral support for Mihoshi and her death would probably send her in a near comatose state of mind. Unique people would be dramatic in death, normal ones are good and are strongly missed.
By the way, If Kiyone didn’t kill herself or Mihoshi over the years they been together, then it’s not going to happen.
