Hmmm that does make sense… just the way they intercut Seina in the flashback, along with clips showing a young Tenchi, it seems they didn’t make much of a distinction, & viewers such as myself that were not familiar really at all with GXP watching oav3 first go around would just assume that was Tenchi. Did they ever say why Seina was in the hospital at that particular time? Or are we to just chalk that up to another one of his injuries due to his accident-prone nature…

I had to watch ep 20 again as a refresher myself. It would seem that the stories from different family members have slightly different stances on events. According to Yosho, Kiyone left the hospital to get herbs or something as a remedy for Tenchi. In Rea’s flashback, however, it shows her going all Jigglypuff on him, which is where we see this exact frame pulled up by ForWashuu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=</YOUTUBE>
about 1:15-1:17 (of part 2 of 2 episode 20 from our yt channel)
so I think it would seem this pic is a young Tenchi
though I’ve had that same train of thought, Nobuyuki, when watching oav3… I think
why?on alot of different things, & as if the elaborate story wasn’t difficult enough to follow, it seems when dealing with Kiyone (in her final years at least) trying to use logic to discern her actions is probably a futile endeavor. because she was literally in the next bed over in the hospital room with him, & she left! ???

Thank you good sir, I got alota positive remarks (Mr. Sabat included) :Happy/:
It’s funny cuz some people thought I was cosplaying, & I just saw it as wearing a cool shirt, didn’t wanna’ take away from all the effort that actual cosplayers put into their costumes (some younger kids actually took some pics with me, going “look! Boba Fett!” lol).
It was fun, I definitely see the allure behind cosplaying (you know that all too well I’m sure Stepdad)

Thanks so much u guys, this really made my week as far as the actual prize, wasn’t anything huge. It was a plush robot of some sorts from a series I’ve never heard of (Cromartie High School)*
Meh, it’s about braggin rights anyway
*it’s a not-for-profit con, so the guys runnin things aren’t exactly loaded, the amv prizes are from the head-judge’s personal collection- November 6, 2011 at 9:32 PM

Just thought I’d give an update: put away your megaphones, gentlemen, no need to boycott any conventions. This Yosho amv took 1st place in the comedy category! :kermit:
It was sooo awesome to watch it playing on a big screen in front of a hotel ballroom full of people–with seemingly so few Tenchi fans in attendance, I thought I might not win, but fortunately there must have been a Tenchi fan or two amongst the judges. First real experience with amv competition, I gotta’ say I’m definitely planning on entering next year.

awww thanks guys, glad to get some input–especially positive feedback! I’ve had this one in my head a long time, finally got around to making it.Ryoko’s Stepdad wrote:If you don’t win anything short of first place I’m boycotting every single convention in a 200 mile radius of NebrasKon.
lol that’d be epic! (& probably very doable, considering there’d be nothing anime-wise west of Omaha). I’ve never won anything with my previous Tenchi amv’s (though granted I’ve only entered two previous entries & they weren’t near this good) it’s usually some more popular anime that takes it, but I ain’t doin it for the most popular anime or to win (though it’d be nice) I feel it’s my duty as a Tenchi fan in Nebraska to represent Tenchi loud & proud (do you know I’ve never seen
oneTenchi cosplay or another Tenchi amv there??? Ever! Tenchi needs representing!)
