    Funi’s version of FLCL came with a preview of 2.22.So I got a bit of a look at what to expect in another

    few weeks once I re-start EVA.

    Interesting bit of Seattle sports trivia:on page 13 of volume 2 of Angelic Days the name Kazuhiro Sasaki

    appears as one of two students who have special duty for the day.He was of course the Mariners’ ace relief

    pitcher during the late ’90s early 00’s.

    I think this is one of the few times Seattle sports has gotten mentioned in either anime or manga.

    I just started re-watching FLCL yesterday so will be near finished when Toonami gets around to airing it on their block on January 4.

    This is one show that if you haven’t seen it yet you really ought to since it is hilariously whacked out in an

    Excel Saga kinda way.Plus Ride On Shooting Star is one of the best end themes in all of anime

    next to The Real Folk Blues from Cowboy Bebop.

    So we never do get anything close to a Tenchi alone with Ryoko after episode 1 of OVA 1.Heck we don’t get that in episode 1 of Universe since Mihoshi is in that episode.So basically OVA 1 of episode 1 is the only time

    we actually get Ryoko and Tenchi alone together without any other girl acting as an alternative.Perhaps if

    there is ever a live action Tenchi they’ll start off with Ryoko and Tenchi together for the first ten episodes before introducing Aeka…wishful thinking.LOL!!!!

    I looked on the schedule for today and it looks like they’re re-running NCIS:Los Angeles

    in place of Hawaii 5-O.

    Anyways yesterday saw Once Upon A Time,In Wonderland.More back ground on Jaffar.In it it’s revealed that the Sultantried to drown him.Jaffar definitely has father issues.Also Alice’s father is brought to Wonderland by Jaffar to use as bait to get Alice to use her second wish.

    One of the things I notice about the Once Upon A Time franchise is that they give their villians sympathetic backgrounds so it’s hard to boo them too much.A lot of the times they tend to be even more

    sympathetic than the heroes.I mean when it was revealed yesterday thatthe old man Jaffar was holding prisoner for so long was his own father,the sultan,and seeing how the sultan had treated Jaffar when he was a boy…

    So did they get the rights for Shippuden from Disney or did Disney simply let them lapse? I remember

    watching it when it was on Toon Disney/Disney XD back in the day when it first came out,which is why I

    ask.

    Well if it’s going to take that long I might re-think my plan and get the third movie some time next year.

    I already have the full first season of Squid Girl and agree it’s pretty funny.Too bad the second season wasn’t licensed though,as far as I know it was dropped.

    I also recommend for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet:Rozen Maiden.Think of it as Highlander

    done with dolls.It isn’t as bad as it may sound though.There’s a good combination of humor and drama to it.

    Also the Dolls really come across as individuals.There’s plenty of good plot and character development and a lot of twists and turns.The original series is divided into two seasons and one two episode OVA:

    Rozen Maiden

    Rozen Maiden:Traumend

    Rozen Maiden:Overture

    the Overture OVA takes place in the middle of Traumend and serves as a backstory to the relationship between Shinku and Saigunto and explains why they went from friends to enemies.

    Our local Root Sports Northwest station re-ran last Friday’s Apple Cup game between the UW Huskies and

    WSU Cougars.Being a Husky fan nice…for Cougar fans it must’ve been hell to relive.

    Any way since MARVEL’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was a rerun yesterday night I re-watched

    Gilligan’s Island instead.
