Sorry for the lack of posts! Caught up on the past two Super Cut episodes as well as episode 41.

Talk about progression after the fun detour that was the Sports Festival episodes.

Where to begin? I was really glad to see the alternate timeline episodes get tied into the main plot, be it not completely explained yet. Gotta love all that Momo pushing the show does, though I think Hachiko is still my favorite of the new girls.

And ha, yeah gotta love that lolicon joke that was made after all these years. Seeing Ryoko and Ayeka get the spotlight in 41 was fairly satisfying too, but alas, curse Negishi and that cliffhanger! I guess I should just be glad the episodes are daily or I’d be frustrated. The fact that we’re potentially hitting a climax is sure something though from the little Tenchi show that could.

I don’t want to say I’m blown away yet, but I’m extremely impressed, especially after episode 3.

Negishi and crew know how to use the episode length, WELL. Though, yeah; the show’s biggest downer is the length, episode 3 showed that they can progress the plot and give out backstory extremely well within their elated time.

Continuing that note, I get the same nostalgia from this as I did watching Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods; we know Tenchi, his abilities and his original harem of girls; now we have a new story and new girls to get to know. Personally, I’m stoked.

As for current episode thoughts, glad we see hints of Tenchi’s abilities in episode 2 and I’m interested in what Washu’s involvement is with all this is plus, Momo’s connection to Tenchi based on episode 3.

That end to episode 2 though! badass1

Eh, our boy has been through worse!

Oh of course not, we don’t even know if FUNimation will get Ai, it’s just assumed.

The biggest issue is the fact the seiyuus for Ai haven’t been announced yet, and going by what FUNimation did with Ghost in the Shell: ARISE in which, the Japanese cast is complete different from the previous casts and that’s FUNimation’s defense for the reason it has a different English cast than the previous ones as well, i.e. “The Japanese cast is different too!”

So…Ai’s seiyuu cast is what I’m curious about the most at the moment.

Hmm, R. Bruce Elliot is a good pick, if say Ai: Tenchi Muyo was dubbed at FUNimation’s in-house studio itself, but given the number of LA based actors in the series, I’d assume they’d have an LA studio once again dub the show with said classic characters.

With Hellsing Ultimate airing, it definitely throws the possibility of War on Geminar airing on the block back on table.

Because we ALL KNOW it has a much better chance of finding an audience than GXP did, even at 3AM.

Also, the chance of the new 4 part Ghost in the Shell OVA, Arise, airing is now definitely there.

But whoa, nice to see this thread somewhat kicking. Beats frequenting current unprofessional Toonami fansites, that’s for sure. qt1

    Welcome.

If you’re into WoG, check out Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure. Dual was a predecessor to WoG.

    I’d recommend the dub.

Actually, I remember watching a bit of Dual! back in the day on Anime Unleashed. Such a shame FUNi did relicense it…
