POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD! ^It was just getting really good at the end! They were just getting used to being a team, acting as a cohesive unit, now there’s time to strengthen bonds, test those relationships, more character development (which it already has some good, more would be better). Plus, watching all the blood & gore & mayhem of zombie slaying, 12 episodes is enough? Well, not for me, no sir. It left me wanting more (& that’s how I know it was good)- September 10, 2011 at 5:13 AM

I second that becka! Granted, there is a ridiculous amount of fan service (I’ll leave that up to you whether that’s a pro or a con) but other than that just a great series overall– the plot’s not super original, but it’s a classicl…zombie apocalypse!–fantastic characters, great group dynamic, & like becka said it’s just a blast to watch, great anime for a weekend with friends. Totally worth checking out if you’re into zombies (and/or hot chicks with weapons) Is there really only 12 episodes? Isn’t there more??? There has to be more!!!

I share your sediments For Washuu. Since it was never on Toonami, I don’t know a whole lot about the Pretty Sammy series (how many? oav’s/spin-offs, etc) but if I am to call myself a Tenchi fan, they’re worth looking into (even though one of them is unabashedly kind of a Sailor Moon rip-off). You’re also right in that while most series (Muyo, Universe, Tokyo) are all over youtube, there’s not as much for Pretty Sammy series. Hope I’m not spoiling anything here but–I think that’s what our noble leaders are working on uploading to yt as we speak, so everyone will soon get a chance to delve into new misadventures with familiar characters (even if their backstories change considerably). - September 5, 2011 at 12:20 AM

Do another one… but set to “Invisible Touch” by Genesis.
That’s not a bad idea there

I love it! (admittedly, I am a sucker for Tenchi/Ryoko amv’s, but still). I think you did a really good job. I like the song, never heard it before, but it’s catchy & I think it fits well for a Ryoko tribute (that was kind of your angle, right? Like from Tenchi’s perspective for Ryoko? Or maybe could also fit for any Ryoko fan that’s had a long-time crush on Ryoko–*cough me– lol) A good amv doesn’t have to have alot of fancy special effects or lyp-synching or other gimmicks to be good. Sometimes, simpler is better (if us editors like to try to sound fancy, we call it being ‘minimalist’). Here you’ve got alot of great moments of Tenchi/Ryoko, clips set at a good pace with the rythm of the song, & there’s alot of great source material: covering happiest moments, to the saddest of their relationship, & covering almost all the series and movies. Great for those of us that are familiar with all the major series/films, seeing Tenchi/Ryoko love in its various forms over the years (both within the context of the series, & even brings back memories over the years for those of us that proudly declare ourselves as die-hard Ryoko fans. Well done, hope you had fun making it, & if you’ve started a fun new hobby, please feel free to share any future works with us.

*First off, whatever Ryokofan recommends is probably a good bet lol but just to contribute… I currently use a slightly outdated version of Adobe premiere elements (
. Haven’t upgraded to 9 or anything better because I have no money
But for amv’s it’s adequate, & with Adobe in general I’ve found the interfaces easy to use, & you get what you pay for (though I’ve always heard good things about Vegas, probably can’t go wrong there)
**Maybe if you can’t spring for a more expensive program for now, try rendering your project even if you’re not quite finished yet. Then you can view it lag free to see if what you’ve edited so far syncs up the way you want it.
Cool to hear you’re interested in making a Tenchi amv, best of luck with whatever u work on in the future, & if u ever make something b sure to share it here

I couldn’t think of a better song to wrap Universe up with, it was such a heart touching moment for me.[BBvideo 425,350]
[/BBvideo]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGFv0E1eQEs I gotta’ confess… this song kinda’ makes me wanna’ cry–every time I hear it. Reminds me of the ending of Universe, which is SO BEAUTIFUL!!! He ends up with Ryoko, & there’s flowers & it’s wonderfully cheesy & heartwarming & the first time u see it you’re like “OMG RYOKO’S ALIVE!!!” & it couldn’t be more obvious that Ryoko & Tenchi end up together, it’s just so wonderful!
Darnit, I’m a sucker for Tenchi/Ryoko love.
Thanks LW, can’t argue with that as being in the Best Anime Soundtracks category!
