Yeah, even though we could throw it
we’ll let it stand as a separate thread, as long as it’s specifically related to aforementioned “consensus” and OVA 4. General ideas on OVA 4, TU 2, TMiL 3 or anything else can still gohere .here- January 30, 2015 at 4:46 AM

Ai refreshed Tenchi after all these years, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they started building off that series for the coming future.
I think there’s a lot of validity to that line of thinking. Of all things out there,
Tenchihas precedence for just starting from scratch: we know these characters, throw them into another slightly different setup, you’re pretty much golden. There’s also reason to believe they’ll attempt just that with
Ai, because as many on this very board have said for a long time (and we’re just now having more or less by Kajishima himself), AIC (or any big producer, I’d reckon) isn’t biting; they’re not buying what Kajishima tried to sell via IF. There’s nowhere to go after OVA 3 that’s commercially viable: story-wise and format-wise (long OVA’s are not the format of choice anymore). Rather than put the burden on some would-be director and writers to try and work with the corner Kajishima has painted himself in, it’d make more sense to just start with a clean slate yet again.confirmedI certainly don’t mind seeing ideas for OVA 4, but unfortunately (and yet fortunately) I don’t think it will ever happen.

Dude that’s awesome! Welcome! I don’t think I’ve ever met someone from Brazil who has seen Tenchi! Did you have a Portugese dub when you watched it on TV? Or English, Spanish, or Japanese with subtitles? - January 27, 2015 at 3:39 AM

Glad to be a spot where “old fans” can stop by. Welcome! - January 12, 2015 at 12:03 AM

No matter how you slice it, when everything’s laid out like that, it’s pretty darn impressive. Staggering, actually. And all with forum antics, posts, chats, and a semi-regular podcast along the way. Thank you ladies, gents, and cabbits all for a very special year for Tenchi. I’m tempted to say we can’t top that, we’ve “made it” yet every time I’ve said that in the past, we end up kicking it up another notch the following year.
Hopefully we won’t have to work quite as hard (and by “we” I mostly mean you gentlemen who subbed
Ai), but if ever the situation calls for it, we can certainly rise to the occasion. What we canaim for is playing just as hard by continuing to have fun doing what it is we do. Long Live Tenchi!

Oooooooh I have been teased thoroughly. WANT1 I’m saying YES! to all of this, but actually I’m also like NOOOOO because of the severity of what is to come, and the fact that Ryua (in pii’s continuation, Ryoko’s race) and Jurai going to war is a terrible wedge between two main characters (while cleverly being their conflict escalated on a galactic scale).
At least I can enjoy it because it’s well-written; it makes me apprehensive and admittedly excited (carnage! yaarrrgh!) merely at the thought.
