    Thought: since an additional two weeks were recently announced, presuming they tacked on a few more due to Ai doing fairly well…considering the time of year for the last few episodes, does this mean we’ll get a Christmas episode(s)?! Holiday high-jinks with all the Tenchi girls? Yes, please!

    You know you’re a Tenchi fan when…despite your best efforts, you can’t let a comment like this go unanswered.

    Here’s my beef with these statements, susano, and please don’t take anything personally: the series IS NOT FINISHED yet! People are entitled to their opinions on something, sure, and if someone doesn’t like Ai okay…but to say “Ryo-Ohki wasn’t in it” you can’t really say that fairly, as of yet, because although it’s odd she hasn’t shown up as of this writing, she may yet, so it’s pretty unfair to accuse Ai of a sin it has yet to commit.

    On that note, I can appreciate disliking a Tenchi series being unnecessarily convoluted (OVA 3), but again, past tense, Ai “was confusing” … WE ARE STILL WATCHING IT! Like, right now! Yes, there’s stuff we don’t know, plants without payoffs as of yet…but come on, would you honestly enjoy a series–and I mean ANYTHING, Tenchi, anime, or otherwise–where you knew everything and had it all figured out beforehand? What would be the point of that? The point of mystery during the initial run is a little thing called engaging your audience, in addition to building suspense…I’ll stop right there, because I shouldn’t have to explain “how to watch a TV show” to anyone able to read this.

    Ukan working with/for (?) the GP…did NOT see that one coming! Subsequently, Mihoshi working with/for Ukan? Definitely did not see that coming! She better not be Mihoshi’s partner, because the position’s already been filled! (Unless said partner finally got her wish of being promoted.)

    Loving the design and the functions. Being nit-picky, I liked the way the social media icons when clicked used to open respective site (fb, twitter, etc.) in a separate tab rather than navigating you away from the forum.

    Obviously Chibi Pa threw a lot of scheduled events off a bit, so in a bid towards normalcy, could I propose recap casts begin again at the end of this week’s episodes? We could catch up in general on the series.

    Also, sometime in the future but not pressing, I agree with proposition to do a “con takeaway/wrap-up” with those who attended. After the upload of “Tenchicast Takes Chibi Pa” seems ideal, at least for uploading the finished cast (special?) itself.

    Idk, sounds cool to me. Kinda like Evil Kiyone which is actually a “thing.” Must be something about seeing a very by-the-books, obviously good character re-imagined as their polar opposite that’s appealing to fans of any franchise.

    I would love a crossover with Outlaw Star! I’m imagining Hot Ice Hilda bumping shoulders with Ryoko and/or Nagi in a seedy, hole in the wall bar somewhere, maybe competing for a job.

    There were some cool vendors there, got to chat with a few, but I personally don’t have a lot to say on that front as I was unable to purchase anything due to being broke apart from spending money to get there and eat lol. Maybe someone else can chime in on that.

    I take it you took our advice and experienced Forever proper? It really contributes to understanding and enjoyment of Ai‘s unfolding events.

    Anyways, Episode 39 continues to ratchet up the suspense! I had a good laugh with Washu’s “Windows” logo (but who’s copying whom? Washu was using it 1,300 years ago!) and it kind of reminded me of Washu in Pretty Sammy.

    Tenchi characters making a loli joke after all these years of fandom…I shouldn’t have to explain why that’s hilarious.

    Hearing Mihoshi say smart things was as surprising to me as it was to the rest of the cast. Good on ya, First-Class Detective!

    And on a final, non-vindictive note: if you’ve kept up with the series this long and aren’t pumped after this episode, or still think there isn’t an overarching plot…there’s the door lol.
