    Well, through various chats and posts here and elsewhere over the years, many if not all of us have wished and wondered about Tenchi being brought back, re-vamped or rebooted for a new generation. I was always a member of the enthusiastic camp of “what if?” or “wouldn’t that be something?” for some reason never really picturing the reality–even after hearing the initial anouncement of Ai Tenchi Muyo!

    Now it’s staring me right in the face, and I’m dumbstruck. I literally don’t know how to feel about this–I mean, I’m excited (nay, ecstatic) about it, and genuinely looking forward to it, but it’s almost too much to take in at once (maybe I should have let this settle for, oh I don’t know, at least five minutes before writing a post but screw it). Negishi directing? Stellar. Yasuda as a character designer? He’s one of the best currently in the biz. But I imagine I feel like the first chaps who accidentally mixed their peanut butter and chocolate together…two wonderful things brought together, but so many thoughts spring to mind: what is this? How do I feel about this? How should I feel about this? Is it right, or is it wrong? A glorious step in evolution, or an unholy chimera? What have we wrought??????

    What? Who? Yes, I’m here…wow, I mighta suffered heat stroke today, ladies and gents. The shortened (sane) version of what I’m trying to say is my mind has been blown from what I suspect will be pure amesomeness, and hopefully I can pick up the pieces in time for when this bad boy actually sets sail.

    That is really cool ML, I didn’t know that! I hope she is a fan, it would be fitting. I only recently became aware of another music-related easter egg in Pretty Sammy, check it out.

    I really like Aura as well, if only for the inner Tolkienite in me causing me to instantly be interested in anything remotely Elvish. tenchiahhhhhh

    But she’s a good-hearted character as well (her periodic ‘childish phase’ is…odd, I guess I’ll say, but whatever, she’s enough of a badass the rest of the time to make up for it).
