    NOT gxp or Geminar

Unless anyone’s absolute favorite character(s) from across the entire spectrum of Tenchi/Tenchi-related series is exclusively from GXP or Geminar (though, chances are we’ll be fine).

Nobuyuki fan? Hurrah! He could use more!

I’ve always been Team Ryoko, always will be.

The OVA was perfect, in general. Until the OVA 3, I loved every episode, but I don’t consider 3 part of the OVA anyways. (I don’t care if it is canon or not!)

I’m glad other Tenchi fans think this too. I pretend OVA 3 doesn’t exist.

While we can’t speak for literally everyone in the fandom, and officially Tenchiforum doesn’t have a stance one way or the other…well, you’re right, most of us here personally feel that way 😉

Oh, and to stay on topic: Dagon, we are on the same wavelength here. 😎

Oh, so FUNi is releasing it on disc here, but not dubbed.

    Not yet, anyway.

Right-O. I would bet my right big toe FUNi will dub this one eventually.

    August? So soon?!

Keep in mind it’s the Japanese release of episode 1 with a translated booklet.

There’s still 3 more parts, with the next one due on sale in Japan in December.

Oh, so FUNi is releasing it on disc here, but not dubbed. I thought that was too quick for them to churn that out. Thanks Nobuyuki for clearing that up.

Thought I’d post here to save some space. It’s not exactly a ‘read along’ (yet, anyways) but it’s relevant:

    bth_images45 Camelot & Vine

Petrea’s new (and first!) full-length, paperback novel is now available for purchase! There is also a Kindle version available.

If for no other reason than the author is the one who made Ryoko Ryoko for so many of us, I’d recommend this (besides, reading is good for you anyway, when’s the last time most of us bought a book?). But more so than that, Petrea really is, and has always been, a genuine sweetheart to her fans. She makes such an effort to be considerate and approachable to Tenchi fans, so I think doing a small part to help her in her attempts to really branch out as an author is a kindness easily paid.

I just placed my order recently, so I can’t speak exactly as to the quality of the work specifically, but it has received good reviews, and I have read some of Petrea’s short story work, and her writing and storycrafting abilities are objectively excellent. So if you only purchase literary works based solely on their quality, I doubt you’ll be disappointed in that regard either.

Anyways, please give it some thought, and if enough people are interested, later down the road we can look into starting a general discussion thread elsewhere (or, maybe just here, idk) to talk about her novel in more detail.

    Thanks everyone!

Over here in Australia we have very few conventions the main one is Supanova and that was my first ever convention. Was kinda shitty for me too… I went with only $50AUD and that doesn’t get much. 😥

Australia eh? Awesome! Silly question, but did you guys get Tenchi on cable back in the day?

Also, conventions are indeed a black hole for your money, I’ll admit that, but something about the vendor experience–being able to talk to the vendors, running into some old-school Tenchi fans who know the intrinsic value of what they got (not just Tenchi-wise)–is more fun than online shopping for me, plus there’s the instant gratification factor that I’m a sucker for.

    But yes, money pit indeed
